I have been very athletic all of my life....

I have been very athletic all of my life. Unfortunately, I feel like I completely skipped breast development due to many years in gymnastics, track, and various sports. I am happy with my body, and work hard to be healthy, and fit (physically and mentally). Yet, having sized 34A breasts, continues to make me self conscious. Especially with a wide rib cage, I feel like it is hard to fit into any normal sized clothing, and I constantly have to wear padded bras, and modify what I am wearing to make my clothing/ SWIMSUITS look decently normal. I am hoping to turn out to be around a 34 C. I have wanted this procedure ever since I can remember, and I finally am taking the plunge and doing something for myself!

Consultation 3/1/16
MakingtheMoveMarch 30, 2016
I was lucky enough to get a consultation very quick. Most places were offering April/ May dates for consultations. I didn’t know they would be booked out so far in advance! Lucky, someone had canceled at Dr. Egrari’s, and I was able to go in for my consultation on 3/1/16. I brought both my boyfriend, and my best friend. I knew going into it, if I felt comfortable, I wanted to schedule my operation. I 100% RECOMMEND trying different doctors, but after researching for probably, 10 hours, and seeing 95-100% recommendation rates for Dr. Egrari, Considering my birthday is in May, and summer is coming, I really wanted to have time to heal before those dates.
During the consultation, I spoke with the nurse first off, and then Dr. Egrari came in himself. He had a very thorough PowerPoint put together. I brought 2 pages worth of questions- and his presentation answered nearly all of them! He took a look at my chest, and really took the time to explain the differences in breasts, and how they will all look differently based on their original fullness, placement on the rib cavity, and diameter. As you can see, I have fairly symmetrical breasts, just very small and a little spread out.
I them went into the 3-D imaging room. This was AWESOME. See the pictures below of my before, and “after.” Obviously, they are not going to be guaranteed results, but it was a lot more reassuring than just placing padding under my bra. It kind of scared me, seeing that my breasts look further apart, but Dr. Egrari assured me that the imaging, has a hard time measuring cleavage, and that is something he is aware of when placing the implants.
The nurse than took me to show me the operating room, recovery room, and rest of the building. It is very convenient having everything in one place! They use a licensed anesthesiologist, and of course, Dr. Egrari is board certified. The experience was great, and I (as well as my friend and boyfriend) felt super comfortable, and in good hands. I schedule my operation for 3/29 at 10 AM. We decided on rather a round 345, or 360 Silicone implant under the muscle.

Thanks so much for posting your 3-D imaging and sharing. That is such a great tool to have a visual idea of the real outcome. I'll be following you!

Pre op 3/17/16
MakingtheMoveMarch 31, 2016
The pre op went very well. I didn’t see Dr. Egrari, but spoke with two of the nurses, and completed my payment. They went over specific details (a whole booklet) of what to avoid, and how to prepare. Something’s I needed to change before my surgery
-STOP smoking. I rarely do this (just occasionally when I drink with friends), but stopped immediately. Not worth the risk of complications, and why not permanently stop anyway?
-Stop drinking! As a 23 year old, I definitely enjoy getting happy hour, and going out with friends on the weekends. Since I am not telling many people about my surgery, I decided to let everyone know that I was doing a “cleanse” for the next few weeks. That way everyone was supportive… and I also feel healthier going into my surgery ?
-Stop taking various herbal supplements- I take an array, Vitamin D, B-12, Fish oil, Biotin (for hair and nails), and Melatonin. Your doctor should definitely give you a list, because there are many things to avoid. Dr. Egrari wants all of his patients are a zero baseline when going into surgery. I switched over to 1 Daily multivitamin, and also TYLENOL PM, since I have issues sleeping, and rely on Melatonin. Make sure to thoroughly read though your list, and stop taking any IBUPROFEN (this thins your blood and can put you at risk during surgery)

Thanks for your review! I just scheduled my lift and augmentation with Dr Egrari for December 2018. Your review has made me feel more at ease and more informed! Since I won’t be having my pre-op appointment until November I don’t have the list of do’s and don’ts yet. I’m so excited! I feel like 5 months is going to go so slow haha
