I wanted to fill the lines on my nasal labial areas and add some volume. I had a laser procedure on my upper lip to fight vertical lines in early late April. The laser was not all that successful to eliminating vertical lines. I am due back for round 2 in September. I decided to do the Bella fill to ring in my 60th birthday. My PS said that I would only need one syringe. I had budgeted for the single syringe. It's pricey. He also thought a wee bit of botox might help my vertical lines as my laser treatment continued to heal. When I got to the office, he back tracked on the Bellafill in terms of amount. Suddenly, it was likely that I'll need two syringes. I did not have that in my budget. He said "full" correction would take place with more...and to be honest, I don't think what he put in has made much of a difference. I'm going to give it some time, but I'm not thinking $1000 was worth it at this moment. I know it's suppose to be permanent and better other fillers may be less but have to be done more often. However, I don't feel the least bit more "full". I know that if I go back in, he will suggest more procedures. I don't want a face lift, chemical peel...I am thin, and definitely need some volume to my face, but he says I'm not a candidate for fat transfer...says can't harvest fat from me...that's not true...I do have some tummy fat...anyway...I was so hoping $1000 was going to give me a more youthful appearance..so far, not so much.

Hi Michelle, thanks for the link, but....it said "Page not found". I'm considering anything to get rid of my nasolabials and those ugly wrinkles around the lips. Now I read about Bellafill which I'd prefer because they claim will last 5 years. Please be so kind as to show me your before/after pics so I have a little glimpse as to what to expect...please? If you prefer send them to my private email: nuevadela at rcn dot com. Or, to my PM on this site. Thanks ever so much!!!

Do you have before and after photos to compare? Also, how long ago was the procedure done? It takes up to 3 months to see the full effect as your body produces collagen to keep the PMMA molecules in place and the bovine collagen (if that's the vehicle that was used) degrades. If it's been less than 3 months- wait and see.
Also, I would presume that "fat transfer" would be more expensive than another syringe of Bellafill.

No one ever just needs one syringe of Bellafill unless you are 25. That's what I was told. lol. But I get what you are saying...at $1000.00 a syringe it is not an easy decision to make. Laser removed most of my acne scars but I am planning to do Bella Fill to erase any residual crater remnants...I am in my early 30's and they said I need 3...

Try the derma roller first and copper peptides for remodeling scars...read up on it and get the best ingredients to help smooth out and improve your skins surface first. One syringe of Bellafill will not really show much improvement. Watch the video on here which shows you how little a syringe will be in a teaspoon.

I think your nasal labial area looks pretty good...you have to remember that one syringe will only do so much...it would take atleast two on each side to get a more full look...its better to wait and see and then add more if you can later on. Sometimes adding volume to the lips....ouch...does the trick and takes the emphasis off of the nasal labial lines. Also if you sleep on your stomach...you will have lines...no matter how much filler you put in, (beware), you don't want the odd look of the lower face bulge. Our older skin doesn't bounce back like it use to....I wish it would. The fat transfer is not cheap...a very expensive alternative and if you are thin...you might not keep the fat that is transferred to your face for long. Its a gamble. Sometimes adding to your cheekbone lifts the lower area...but again it would take a syringe on each side...I have done so and I like the results. If your on a budget this is going to be a long term build up and will take time and $$.
I think your nasal labial areas look good! They aren't deep and they look smooth. What did they look like before? Would you mind a before photo?
