The big event is tomorrow morning! Just took my before pictures and it makes everything feel extra real. I have been thinking about getting a tummy tuck for years. I've always been a big believer in eating right with plenty of exercise. And with that, I love my healthy curves. However, after two large babies, my stomach muscles have been stretched apart . Unfortunately nothing but surgery can fix it. I'm at the perfect place in my life to do this for myself. Don't get me wrong, I feel the mommy guilt for spending the money on myself rather than my children. But I've thought of this as an investment. I imagine my kids with a happier more confident mom that will benefit them in the future.

I'm 3 days post-op and feel great. As great as you can expect ;) I'm staying on top of the drugs on the hour. Getting behind can cause quite a bit of discomfort. Some tips...if you haven't had a BM in about 3 days I recommend a laxative suppository along with stool softeners. It works great and you'll feel much better. When you get in and out of bed, remember not to support yourself with your arms. It engages your stomach muscles and hurts like hell. I learned my lesson the hard way.You will feel most comfortable sleeping propped up on pillows so a neck pillow is a must. Lastly, to my surprise, my labia became very swollen and sore. All normal I'm told. Ice pace feels good. :)

Me again commenting on my own comment. This is hilarious. I don't even remember writing it. All good advice, just a little TMI I think. It was the oxycodone and valium, I swear ;)

Note the price includes the lipo and anasthesia, worth every penny.

I get mine done with Rand in March! How long did you have to have your drain in?

It depends on the amount of fluid. But for me it was 2 weeks. It was easy to hide under your clothes. Good luck! it will be great :)

Healing seems like it's been a breeze. Granted I had two weeks off work and help with kids and meals. But as far as pain management, staying on top of the drugs worked for me. I took higher dose for the first few days which pretty much kept me asleep most of the time. I am now at the low dose during the day and take a slightly higher dose at night to stay asleep. I see myself off the hard stuff by Monday and back to work I go. The pictures are so fun for me to see side by side. I'm so so happy. With the photos, please note there is quite a bit of swelling still which will continue to go away.

And excuse the granny panties...they are a must for a little scar leakage. Get to just throw them out later :)
