32 Year Old with Stubborn Pooch and Love Handles - Toronto, ON

I'm 32, 5'7" weighing 118lbs. I noticed about 3 years ago I developed a stubborn stomach pooch and love handles on my fairly thin frame. I assume it was from eating junk food and turning 30. I'm on my feet for my work moving around a lot and consistently work out 2-3 times a week. Since I was not happy with my body I started to research non invasive procedures.I saw a special on liposonix on the Bellair website and decided to take advantage of it. I liked the fact that there was no downtime and liposuction was too expensive and drastic for my situation. I had 16 squares in total done on my stomach and hip area. 3 on each side of my handles and the rest on my stomach. Bellair laser clinic is a beautiful med spa centrally located in the trendy neighbourhood of yorkville. Their staff are all very professional and wonderful making the entire check in and procedure seamless and quick. The awesome nurse was so pleasant by making me laugh and engaging in conversation that I hardly felt any discomfort. I would rate the level of pain between 6-7.5 on a scale of 10. The deep pinching sensation comes and goes in waves and depends on the location. I felt it less on the stomach probably because of the extra fat and definitely more on the sides. I took one Percocet 30 mins before we began and another one half way through. The nurse did three consecutive passes of 60 joules on each square. A total of 180 joules is the allowable, if it could go higher I would have because the pain is totally tolerable. Less painful than laser tattoo removal without numbing cream. Bruising occurred three days later and soreness and tenderness lasted a good week and a half. The area was also very swollen for the first week.The nurse also suggested I wear spanx to help heal and tighten the area, so I wear them everyday except showering and sleeping. I've upped my gym sessions to 3-4 times a week and I'm also eating clean ( less carbs and refined sugar) and no more fast food/junk food. Three weeks out and I really see and feel a difference. My package also came with 6 velashape sessions to compliment the liposonix. I'm looking forward to those sessions and the final results in five weeks.
