Bellafill & Subcision: In many ways my face looks worse than when I came in.

Bellafill NOT worth it!

I went to Dr. Wu in La Jolla (Cosmetic Laser Dermatology) and was told 2 syringes of Bellafill would help lift/smooth my acne scars. Not only did it not work, I ended up with an uneven result and my scars are still visible. Do not recommend! Save your money.

It's been exactly three months after my last procedure (subcision). As of now I'm not happy with the result. In many ways my face looks worse than when I came in. I have attached photos of my Bellafill procedure that had little to no effect. Additionally, my subcision has left me with additional scars; devastating. I have an upcoming procedure with Dr. Wu June 10th. This time for CO2 laser and remain hopeful we can get the results I originally invested in last year. I'll repost my before and afters in the upcoming months.

Bellafill is a horrible product. Please file a complaint with the fda so this can be taken off the market before it permanently disfigures more people!
I will look into it. Dr. Douglas Wu endorsed the benefits of this product for acne scars; and he came highly recommended. I had no idea at the time how traumatic the whole experience would be. Thank you for reaching out.
Neither did I honestly. I wish I had found this website prior to getting mine done. There are hundreds of men and women who have permanent disfigurement from this product. I’m trying to set up some sort of support group or something to find others like us and see if they have resolutions to their problems. I had been going to a spa for Botox for a while and asked about filler. She completely lied about the product. Didn’t do the allergy testing that is required by the fda and didn’t inform me she was using the product off label. It’s made me so sick because lumps and bumps and nodules and swelling are huge issues and life long. Read some of the comments on real self or the reviews on drugs.com. It’s terrifying.
It’s plastic they are injecting under your skin. I had no idea either. The lady who did this to me told me it as encapsulated bovine collagen. I’m a complete mess knowing there is nothing that can be done to remove it. Its extremely terrifying that this product is even legal.
Please don’t go back and get anymore done
Thank you, I appreciate the concern Cheri. I do not plan on repeating these procedures, ever again. My friend brought to my attention that nobody at Cosmetic Laser and Dermatology has acknowledged or even reached out to me regarding these results. I didn't even put it together that this is odd/bizarre. I will look further into my options and will update my posts. Thanks again.
