Got Bellafill!!!

I got only one of my cheeks done and I feel like it’s made a difference. Is it totally smooth? No, but the fact is, scars are permanent. There’s no filler that’s going to be permanent in my opinion. But they can stimulate collagen and make a difference in texture. I can wash my face and be comfortable without makeup especially on the side that had Bellafill and once I pay off my breast lift, I’m going to get the other cheek filled. I think it’s a continuous process, like a few things a year so it’s best to budget for that instead of looking for permanent results, that’s what I’m doing. The only thing that’s permanent is surgery and even then, the aging process is a continuous thing so I try to have a better outlook on it than I used to.

I’m just unsure because I have seen some people have some terrible side effects months and even years later.

Like what kind of side effects?

Several people got lumps or granulomas.

So, it is about slightly more than 3 1/2 years since my Bellafill, a total of 6 syringes for mostly scars. No lumps and bumps now years later. The nurse told me that she does not want to inject more as the scars are now looking more superficial and to use Belotero. She is right. Just a little bit superficially under the skin. The beauty of this filler (other injectors may suggest Restylane), is that it is very soft and "forgiving." To me, it actually diffuses to fill out the depressions better without lumps. I learned to be patient, as the full effect will be realized at two months. However, it is HA based and is not considered permanent. Maybe, in your case of Ultherapy which I also have had but no damage, you need to let your skin heal. Realize that collagen takes up to one year to form after a procedure. Then reassess and think about whatever treatment to go for next.
