Wish I had someone like you to talk to before I had it! Glad it's all normal though can't say I'm loving it haha, can't wait to sleep on my side and the tightening goes a bit, it's always worse afternoon evening.

I'm now 17 days post op and swelling is really starting to go down! My scar is a neat line and I'm finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel! No longer have to wake up and reach for the painkillers... And I can drive again :) feeling good

I'm finally starting to feel abit normal and am putting a before and after photo up haven't been brave enough before only my husband and surgeon have ever seen my tummy. After 8 children and 5 stone weight loss it wasn't a pretty sight! I went into surgery at 170lbs too heavy I know however I had stuck at this weight for ages.... I'm now 160lbs and watching what I eat trying to shift some more weight! I feel ok now most days anyway onwards and upwards :)
Congratulations on your results. How did the weekend go for you with recovery?
The bruising gets very colorful for a while which is normal.
The swelling is a pain! Keep the diet clean and stay away from processed foods. The sodium in those will blow you up.
Eat tiny little meals several times a day. For about the first month I was only able to east about a half a cup of food at a time.
I remember that feeling:)
Yep, the shooting pains. Your body has been to H*&% and back and it's all a part of the recovery. Gas pains, swelling pains, tightening up. It's all a part of this crazy process.
