I am a 37 year old mom of 2 boys who has been thinking, hoping, wishing for this for 4 years. I've read and watched everyone recovery and made the decision in January that this year was my year! I met with Dr. Cohen and scheduled surgery for March 26th. I'm nervous, scared, excited all in one. Im having a full TT with a hernia and muscle repair. I had 2 c-sections and have an umbilical hernia from my second pregnancy so Dr. Cohen has a few general surgeon partners he works with that will take care of the hernia portion. That was a relief because i didn't want to have surgery twice. I will also be getting a BA to help my saggy boobs. Breast feeding 2 kids and taken a toll on them. I'm not looking for anything huge and cartoonish. I just want to be filled out again and look full and beautiful. Dr. Cohen makes the final call on size but I'm somewhere between 375-425cc. He has chosen a textured round implant for me because Im borderline for needing a lift. He said that the textured implant will give me a good full lifted look. Anyone else have textured round implants? Just curious. It looks like all the stories I've read are smooth round.
I have my pre-op appointment on March 5th. I'm sure it will sink in then. So far, I'm planning on 2 weeks out of work. I'm panning on recovery similar to my C-Sections although I did opt for the pain medication that they put right in your tummy- exparil. I think that how you spell it. It cost a little extra but to have up to 3 days of no pain, sign me up! Money will spent.

Hooray for you! Here's a list of pre- and post-op tips. March will be here before you know it!

Thank you! I know. Exciting!

I had two C-sections and the TT is worse - but only because you have to stay hunched over for the first couple of weeks, which really kills your back. A walker is a MUST. I had the exparel, and I still needed pain meds through day 4 PO. I'm 4 weeks PO right now, and still a little hunched over - my PS doesn't want me fully straight until 6 weeks. You'll do great, and will be so happy with your results!

Congrats to you and thank you for the advice! I am making a list of everything I need to get for this surgery and my list is getting long!!!! I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well and are happy! I can't wait to feel like that!

Oh gosh you said you got Exparel and still needed pain meds. Was it really bad ?

I used Dr. Cohen for a breast lift with augmentation on July 3rd. Had my revision Jan 30th. Great doctor. Spends a lot of time with you. Feel free to message me any questions. Having been through 2 surgeries at his office (both at the new one!), I feel pretty well versed now. :)

Thank you! I will check out your profile. How was he with the revision? I know you have to wait a while but hopefully you have the results you expect! I'm a little nervous about the textured implants and I haven't been able to find many on this site that have them. I'd love to get more real life experiences.

you look awesome! Good for you. I am SOOOO nervous I am doing my mommy makeover on May 8th. I've been stressing out and trying to keep positive but it seems that everyone that I speak to has something negative to say especially about general anesthesia.. How was your experience?
April 24, 2015
Perfect! I had no issues. I got the patch to prevent nausea and zofran just in case. I never needed it. I woke up slow but that's ok. I had Exparel in my tummy and they gave me dilaudid so I wasn't in any pain. I barely remember the ride home and my husband said I was saying some crazy stuff but once I was home I was good. That was truly the scariest part for me and this helped me - the doctor said the most dangerous part of this surgery was the drive here. That helped me when I would get nervous. Good luck! It will be great!

The front shows my c-section scars. I will be glad when that skin hanging over is gone! Dr.Cohen said he will go below my c-section scar and cut it out. I may have a small vertical scar because he isn't sure he will be able to get all the skin from my belly button down off. The vertical scar would be the hole from my old belly button. Anyone else have that? On to my saggy baggy boobs. I'm not ready for a lift yet but I'm close so Dr. Cohen recommended the textured implant to give me a little lift and fill me out. It seems like most of the reviews I've read are with smooth implants so curious if anyone has experience with textured. I'll post more pictures as I get closer.

Hi, there! I ready your story! How exciting for you! My surgery is March 19th for BA! I was originally going to have saline implants, which i'm still slightly on the fence about. I am leaning more towards silicone, however! I'm going to give it til the weekend and make my decision! My PS is going anywhere between 350-390cc. He said he's thinking somewhere around 375cc though. But he said like yours did that he will have the final call! I'm excited to see your results! You look great already! So I'm sure your results will be fantastic! Happy waiting!! ;)

I may have a vertical incision also. And have similar breast shape. But forgot to ask if it was smooth or textured I was going with. I'm not scheduled until June anyhow. Your results look great.
