I came from Canada to have a septo-rhinoplasty done by Dr Charbel after reading his reviews and personally knowing a few of his patients. Dr Charbel communicated with me for months on Whatsapp and answered all questions I had. I finally scheduled my consultation and surgery for October 10th. When I arrived at Clemenceau hospital, I was taken care of by a great staff who performed my blood work and pre-review. Maggie at Clemenceau was exceptionally helpful and kind with her nursing. Dr Charbel arrived and went over the procedure with me. Although late for the scheduled surgery, I did not feel rushed at all and he listened to me while explaining the limitations of what he can and cannot do. He promised me a smaller, more thin nose with a tiny bit of curvature in the bridge but told me I could not achieve a small button nose with the thickness of my skin and the size of my face. We also discussed my deviated septum which he said he would fix during the procedure. I trusted him and went forward with the surgery.
I was very scared while being pushed into the OR. I do not speak fluent Arabic, but all staff were accommodating in English or French. They were all helpful and did a good job keeping me calm.
I woke up in a lot of pain. I called for help for what felt like a few minutes. It took the staff a few minutes to actually tend to me and give me morphine after which I felt much better.
My surgery took over 3 hours to perform as the deviation in my septum was very deep (?). As such, I believe this is the reason for my swelling and bruising only 12 hours later.

The swelling is ridiculous. I can barely open my eyes. I'm getting the packing in my nose removed today.

I posted a semi-recent pic of the tip (I think that was about 6 weeks post op). It changes every day, and sometimes molded by how I taped it (yesterday I taped it in a way that made it like a ball this morning) which makes me believe it still needs some time to heal.
