Beginning my journey into revision rhinoplasty
I'm based in #melbourne #australia and have seen two different rhinoplasty specialists for a consult. I had rhinoplasty 20 years ago to fix a major hump on my nose. Unfortunately the doctor didn't do a great job and the Cartilage dropped and has created an issue on the side of my nose as you can see in the before side profile. As I've aged it's also dropped and ripped because the original surgery was closed. I am ready to book in for revision rhinoplasty and had to consult as followed:
1) one was free and was through real self
2) the other cost $350 also on real self
Both were good. The first one was less detailed and I did it get a visual look what what could be done. Apparently because it's revision rhinoplasty there are too many variables to make the graphic design worthwhile (also this practitioner said.)
The second consultation which was paid for was more detailed and I was able to get a image to have a idea on what my nose might look like after surgery. It was very good to see however I wish I asked more questions about how it might look like while I was smiling and more questions around how to shape my nostrils as I feel they are still too long. Overall I love the look of the after side profile I'm worried it's a little too high and I'm curious what everyone else's feedback is but at least it won't droop the way it is at the moment. I'm also not sure if you should have a small slant to it I'm wondering if it still looks too big. Lastly unfortunately because my jaw is crooked it makes my small crooked and actually makes my nose appear non-symmetrical- I was hoping somehow this might be able to be fixed in rhinoplasty however as you can see in the after photo it doesn't seem that it's possible as one side of my nose is still a bit higher than the other.
What do you think of the proposed after photos ?
