Jut thought I'd post a full length pic seeing as I have a full length mirror to my advantage today :)
Side note: the girls always look much bigger and projected in pics. I still feel they look small in person.

Hi. You look fabulous. Congrats,,,you are healing really, really great. Happy for you!!! Happy Healing!!!
Thank you so much Hun :) I hope all is well with you too.
Thanks for sharing your journey!! I've found it extremely helpful. Please continue to update us as time goes on. You look amazing! :)
Thank you ever so much, I'm happy to know that my review has helped. I will definitely continue to upset we need more women of colour documenting their journeys on here :) All the best with your journey!
Looking good! I think mod plus looks smaller with clothes on. I got moderate plus as well and you can't really tell I had work done unless I'm showing it off lol. Good luck with your revision.
Hello angel- I've sent you a pm with a question about the internal stitches he used on you! [RS bleep]
How are you doing now since you are over a year out? Can you post an update of your final results? Thanks
Hey there, I actually ended up getting pregnant a couple of months after my surgery. My final results are pretty non existent lol. My breast grew and dropped with pregnancy and now I need to re do them. So that’s a lesson to listen when they say have all your kids before doing your boobs :) Overall I had a good experience and haven’t faced any issues with my implants but I did develop some areas of thicker scarring. I’m aiming to re do my boobs some point next spring, I will possibly go to Turkey this time as I have seen good results by surgeons there an it is a lot cheaper.

3 months post op

Wow, I can't believe it's been three months already. Time has gone by so quickly.
Pleased to say I have had zero complications and a very smooth recovery period.
My scars are healing well though my areola scars are a little hard. I have been extremely lazy with silicone sheets, I use them maybe 1/2 days in a week lol. Other than that I have been slathering coconut oil on my breast daily. I use my circalfate cream every now and again also.
I wear a sports bra to sleep ( I really recommend the marks and spencer post surgery bra £25). Gives great support and is super comfy. It is also sold VAT free so they refund you around £5, meaning the bra comes to roughly £20. Bargain. I did buy two Macon bras but I fold them very uncomfortable and tight.
I had my post op a couple days ago and we discussed going bigger. My surgeon recommended to go with 525cc-575cc high profile to get my desired outcome. (I currently have 425cc mod plus). I am happy with shape, size and results my surgeon did a wonderful job. I just wish I had gone bigger to begin with rather than having to pay £3000 for a revision.
One concern I have, I will be going away next weekend. What is the best way to protect my scars from the sun? I've already purchased factor 50 sun protector and I will not be sitting in direct sunlight. Is there anything further I should do? Any tips would be welcome.
Thanks for reading :)

Scar therapy

Hi guys,

I'm currently one day shy of 5 weeks post op. My incisions were fully sealed from 3-4 weeks, therefore my doctor has given me clearance to proceed with scar therapy. His brand of choice in silicone sheeting is cica-care. I purchased this for just under £20. Relatively affordable compared to other brands. I will be using the sheets on my anchor scars (I had a full anchor lift) and will also continue to use coconut oil and the cicalfate cream on the surrounding areas. My doctor says I am to use the sheets for 6-8 months! How long was everybody else recommended to use sheets for? I honestly thought it would be for about 2 months.

The strangest thing happened, I decided to go to the gym at the weekend (strictly cardio). Two days later I started my period 2 weeks early! I have no idea if the two were linked, has anybody else experienced irregular periods post op? How long did this take to go back to normal?

I mentioned in my last post that I was wanting to go bigger. Some days I'm happy with the size, as they are practical and not too OTT. other days I feel a little dissatisfied, but I will wait for a year before I decide whether to have a revision surgery or not. I've included pics of me in 34c/ 34d bras I wore pre op. The fact that they still fit proves to me that my size hasn't changed dramatically. However I know that my size won't be final until at least three months.

Other than the slight boob greed I am very happy with my results and recovery so far.

People have started to notice the new boobs and sometimes it's a bit uncomfortable when they ask outright if I've had a boob job. I almost started to feel bad about my decision at one point as people kept saying that there was no need for me to have done it. But screw what people think; it's my body, my money I don't require approval from anybody to do what makes me happy :) right? So glad I am over that.

Wishing you all a speedy recovery as usual. Thanks for reading.

Oh wow just read your update! I think you are looking great, in regards to your scar, dropping process and the size. I know you said you feel like you should have gone bigger but trust me bigger implants brings bigger problems. Not just physiological complications but also finding the right cloths that will fit you. I have been looking at bras even though I am too early to get fitted yet but I noticed once you go bigger than DD you have a very limited choice of finding a nice looking well fitted bra. Its a nightmare to be honest. I am also having hard time to find some nice tops that I once used to wear. I got some halter tops blouse and I thought they will compliment my physique now that I have boobs, but no. I tried two sizes, small and med, in both cases my boobs were spilling out from the side since I have a little bit of side boobs, then this blouse again with halter top made me look like top heavy and yet I am not that huge may by 32 DDD? Its just awful, I returned them all. Some ladies at work told me I look small and I dont look like I had a boob job! I really dont care. Its a night mare when you go shopping, cloths dont fit well anymore!! So I think its wise to stay at a level that is not too big or not too small. Unless you really dont mind guys staring at your boobs!! Lol but you look amazing and I am super happy for you! Hugzzz :-)
Hey! Thanks for stopping by and thank you for the compliments :) I agree with you, the bigger the boobs the more difficult shopping becomes. Even tho I'm not big at all, I have struggled to wear certain necklines I used to get away with. I even had my boob pop out of my dress in a club! Oops lol. So going bigger is something I will definitely have to consider carefully. Hope everything is well with you xx
Angel: yes I think its wise to wait and see until you are completely healed before making the decision of going bigger. I was 32 A may be AA and I got 650 Hp, I still do not look big unless I wear super tight body hugging cloths!! There is no way I will ever consider getting 800 or up as I will be asking for more trouble in the long run. My boobs will sag faster. So I just have to be happy with what I got!! Plus I wanted bigger boobs to give my body a feminine shape but I did not want people to gawk at my boobs, excessively bigger boobs will draw that attention to you!! Lol i think you will be happy with your result and you will get to enjoy them longer..:-)
Wow your boobs look super natural for 650cc. I've been following your journey too : ) everything's looking great. A friend of mine has 800-900cc and they are a D cup. It's so funny how cc's look different on everybody. Pre op I saw 500cc on women who probably had much smaller frames than me and the boobs looked massive on them. It put me off going bigger than 400-420. Though in reality I think I could have pulled off a 525cc to achieve the look I wanted.
Hi!! Everybody has their own opinion on breast size. Im a 32DDD,,,and I have a drawer, and closet filled with new clothes and bras. Shopping hasn't been a nightmare for me. I was a small in most tops...now I'm a medium, or large. With me,,,,Ive always worn tighter tops. So,,,I will continue doing that,,,and even with my bigger breasts,,,I look still look thin. Girl....please don't ever feel guilty about your decision. You did the surgery for you!!!!!! For nobody else. With that being said,,,I think once you drop/fluff...you will know if you will want a revision. You look so beautiful!!! Oh,,,,and I think the meds...and the surgery mess our bodies up. I didnt get my period early,,,but I wouldn't be surprised if your hormones are a little off because of surgery. You will probably fall back on schedule after this month. :)
Hey Hun! How's everything going? Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it :) And exactly, this is for nobody other than ourselves so we shouldn't let people get under our skin with negative comments. I'm definitely past that stage now. And boy! I sure hope my cycle reverts back to normal after this month, I usually plan my social life around my period as they are painful and heavy but this one caught me out in the worst way possible! So glad I wasn't on holiday or anything like that, would have been a nightmare. I'm looking forward to the drop and fluff process. Lord give me an E cup, pleasee! Lol. Hope everything's well with you xx
Hi!! Oh,,yep. I get really bad periods too. I can relate. I have to plan my life around them. I have fibroids...so its so painful and heavy. Im glad you were not on holiday or anything too. Having a period pop up early is not easy. Not at all. Im praying that you get your E cup!! You never know once ya drop!!! Im doing great. Healing more everyday. Very grateful always!! :)
Oh man that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that hun, painful periods are the worst. The joys of being a woman. Aw and thank you, I really hope so too.
You'll be fine. Don't worry about what others may think. They have no right to pass judgment. You wish to be bigger and me the opposite. I started pre op 38 D, and now post op a 38F/FF. I was sized at 3 different lingerie stores. Bra shopping has been a nightmare for me lol
Aw thanks for stopping by. And you're totally right, it really is nobody's place to say. Wow, you want to go smaller? Are you planning a revision surgery? Xx
Yes I agree with you! I don't how other ladies find it so easy to buy bras! I suppose I only try to find well fitted bras, bras that will give me good support and in the long run help me to protect my investment!! They are hard to find!
Hi! You look amazing, they are dropping so nicely. I'm having a bit off boob greed too, I wish I would have gone bigger. My doctor initially suggested that I go 500-525 cc's, but I chickened out. My main concern was shape and healing above all. You didn't start off small so I think your cup will still increase. I think when they finish dropping you will be satisfied. I'm in the same boat as you, I can still fit all my pre-op bras and shirts. My period was late. Scared the crap out of me since my husband and I decided not to have anymore children. It came about a week late. I did some research and learned that after surgery that is pretty normal. Funny how our bodies all react different to surgery.
Hey Shanay, thank you! How's everything with you? Would love to see some updated pics. Yes my surgeon recommended 475cc and I was like erm hell no haha. I didn't want to be anywhere close to the 500cc range but if I could go back in time I would go for 525cc. My frame would have been able to handle it. But I think I will hold off on any revision surgeries until after having children. It doesn't make sense to do it before that as I would likely do them again after breastfeeding anyways. Ah man, I hope our cycles revert back to normal asap.
Hi, You look fantastic! Your incisions are healing so nicely When people outright ask you if "you've had a boob job", I think a good response would be: "What kind of question is that? How rude of you to even ask!" And then just go about your business. Or if you've already spilled the beans and they continue to make comments you should simply tell them that "what you do with your body is your business and you prefer not to discuss the matter with them." Whether they think you've had a boob job or not... it really is rude for them to outright ask or make negative comments. I've heard cica-care is a very good product. I'm curious to know how comfortable they've been for you so far. I thought about ordering their sheets. I've read they're very sticky and adhere better than reusable other silicone sheets. I'd like to have something that doesn't fall have a tendency to come off if it gets wet, especially when I go to the beach. I've also read they're pretty stretchy; and to be sure not to stretch them (lay them down flat and unstretched) when putting on your skin as it can cause sheering and possible irritation if they're stretched onto your skin. Anyway I would appreciate your feedback on them. :-)
Hey Hun, thank you so much :) and yes the incisions are healing well thank God. The incisions at the bottom did start to feel a little thick so thank you for the nudge re starting the scar therapy. I spoke to my doctor after the convo we had and he said it was fine to start earlier than the 6 weeks post op he previously stated. And you're right, it is rude, but I know it's mostly curiosity so I try not to let it bother me too much. I've been using the cica-care for about three days now. So far so good. My scars feel flatter already. And yes they do stick well and are supposed to last 28 days I believe. I put mine on, then wear my post op compression bra on too which helps to hold them into place all day. Removing them is also very easy, I've had no need to place any oil on the skin in order to gently remove them, I just go ahead and peel them off. I think the coconut oil and circalfate cream are also working wonders.
