I had a deep chemical peel last Wednesday (27th July). It burned! But i handled it with the nurse holding my hand haha, only the last two minutes I started to feel really uncomfortable but then it was over!

Below are the pictures from the next morning, a little red with some white frosting, no pain at all, people seem to think its like sun burn, It can't be more different, no pain just feels very very tight! My face has really swollen up too and I couldn't open my mouth much but again not painful.

I had a 35% chemical peel in March 2016, with the same kind of feelings during recovery. My face felt very "tight" and was red for 2 and 1/2 weeks, but I am more than pleased with the results! Dr. Edwin Williams in Schenectady, NY, performed this, and I would recommend him to my friends in a heartbeat!

Hi, I was also wondering about the percentage used. Is your skin type IV? I only ask because I heard phenol could not be used on IV and you look tanned. I had wanted this peel also but my doctor said it was not suitable maybe if your doctor performed medium phenol it is safe for IV skin..idk. Hope you heal well and cheers!!

Hiya! Glad I look tanned in pictures haha, but no I'm as white as it gets I use ivory foundation everything else is way too dark! (That's just how white I am) , my body is tanned but that's because I spend everyday up my stables out in the sun X

I'm going to contact my doctor and double check what he used as I've had a lot of questions x

Good for you! I hope you don't mind me asking this, but do you have filler in your lips? They're so pretty. Thanks. Have a great day.

Ha you wouldn't believe how many times I've been asked that! But no I actually haven't! I've always had big lips, I don't actually like them myself but thank you xx

Wish you could send them to me, haha.
I have acne scarring too~ mine looks just like yours did. (You're very pretty, regardless.) Chemical peels have done very little to improve it. I even had laser-resurfacing done, which left it WORSE. (Thank you, Bernard Bloom, MD, Dallas.) :(
I thank you for your photos & information. Wishing you the best!

Why are your lips also swollen?

I have naturally full lips, but the chemical goes quite close, so it just naturally swells the whole face, pushing my lips out further.

What type of peel did you get done and how long did they leave it on?

I'm pretty sure it was a phonel peel, took about 15/20 mins to do Altogether X

Did they give you any pain sedatives or anesthesia? If so then it was probably a phenol. I asked because your face looks redder than mine gets when I do my TCA peel but it doesn't look as nasty as a phenol makes your face so I wondered if they did maybe a higher percentage TCA like 50%. Either way it looks like it did the job! Your skin looks great!

Let the peeling begin! started around the chin and my nose first, not a bad experience, a little itchy.

Did you have your lips plumped too or is that normal? They are so full and I want to have both done (chemical peel and lip plumping)
