I have always hated the bags under my eyes. Since age 16, I have had to use concealer on them, but I never wear any other make up. One day I was browsing online for permanent solutions, and I randomly put my contact information for a consult with a local beauty clinic. Toronto apparently has a LOT of clinics competing for clients, so this place was aggressively calling me (from a call center!) to get me in for the filler consult. They said "don't do fillers, they won't help. You need 1 session of PRP." So they hooked me up with Beauty Bar Clinic on Bellair. So I go to Bellair. They say "You need at least 3 sessions of PRP. We have a special promo right now, etc". Out of desperation, I signed up. I went through 3 long and painful sessions of PRP. I have a terrible needle phobia, but the ladies (Roza, Steph, and a really kind Filipino doctor-turned-nurse - can't remember the name) were actually very kind and patient with me. It was good exposure, for sure!!! I never had any swelling or reactions. I could usually walk right out of the clinic with no problem. I just looked a bit red for the first couple hours, but it always subsided. After the 1st session, I saw no difference. They said "you need 1 more!" .... after 2 sessions, they said "just wait til the third, then you'll see results!" ... then long after the third session they said "You need to wait longer / you're too young / you need another session, 3 isn't enough."
It's been two years and I see LITERALLY NO DIFFERENCE. If anything, my undereye bags are WORSE!!!!! (Probably due to being 2 years older now.) I still see wrinkles, reduced volume in cheeks, receding hairline... Unfortunately, PRP is not exactly a fountain of youth either.
It's the biggest waste of money I've ever made. On the bright side, it helped me gain exposure to my needle phobia? Anyway, don't do it for getting rid of underye bags :( I've read positive reviews about PRP for other issues such as acne... perhaps it's more suitable for that application.

It is important to note that there are different many different ways for generating PRP which results in different concentrations of growth factors, and whether or not these growth factors are truly activated. If you ever decide to try retreatment make sure you go to somebody who specializes in regenerative medicine who can discuss and generate the most effective treatment.
