How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Poor Communication, Untrustworthy
I had a beard hair transplant a few months ago. I spent a lot of time researching but retrospectively I regret that I selected this clinic. First of all, the experience is not all bad. The hotels, arrangements were great and the whole process was smooth. Although they charge a little higher than their competitors, given that they heavily use technicians. But the reason I gave them one star is because of the poor communication. They told me that they would transplant 3500 grafts during the remote consultation.
And Dr Acar didn’t discuss the number of grafts during the pre-surgery meeting with him. But right after the procedure, I counted the number of grafts and I could only roughly count around 2300. So I asked Dr Acar the number of grafts that were actually transplanted during the post-op meeting. Initially, he looked at the patient record and told me they transplanted 3500. But his assistant quickly reminded him in Turkish and he explained that they extracted 2250, split into single hairs, and transplanted 3000.
Why didn’t they communicate this important change to me before the surgery? They explained that the number is subject to change during the surgery. But I don’t believe a single word of them. If that’s the case, how could they not find out about the change and inform me during the first meeting I had with Dr Acar? The graft extraction was done entirely by the technicians and they just did what they were told. It’s highly unlikely that they would change the number on their own. And if I hadn’t asked the doctor after the surgery, I suspect that he would never talk about it.
To this day I’m still wondering why they were trying to hide this important number from me. Is it because they over harvested and somehow did not transplant all what they extracted? Was there some accident during the surgery, for example they discarded some of the extracted grafts by accident? I’m terrified when thinking of the possibilities. Hair follicles are extremely precious as they don’t regrow. Once gone they are gone. That’s why you never want to take your chance at a clinic which heavily uses technicians and keeps vital information from you.
Several months have passed and I’m not satisfied with the density. I plan to have a second transplant and this time I’ll for sure have it done by a renowned doctor in a developed country.
