Great Experience!
After discovering the procedure, i decided that I wanted to find a way to connect a beard, as I had large spaces devoid of growth on my face that resulted me from only being able to grow “chops”. After extensive research, I discovered Dr. Wolf as a provider near me in January 2019. By March 2019 I had my consult and appointment scheduled. He was very thorough during the consultation and agreed that we would Likely need to need to do a “beard-to-beard“ transplant to relocate follicles from under my chin/jaw, as the texture of my existing beard hair was extremely different from that on the back of my head. The idea of a “texture match“ was very appealing to me and worth the extra number of facial injections.
The day of the procedure was very relaxed. Aside from the numbing injections, there was no pain involved. The first 1/2 of the day was the harvesting of the follicles, while the second 1/2 was for implantation. All in all, if I remember correctly, 350 follicles were transplanted.
The healing process went very smoothly. Aside from a fear of scratching or touching my face while I slept, everything went on without a hitch. Keeping the face moist with the facial spray greatly helped both the scabbing and itching.
Now, about 8 months out, the bald areas have completely filled in, and I am finally able to grow a beard for the first time in my life at the age of 43.
I would highly recommend both the procedure and Dr Wolf to anyone contemplating the procedure.
