Should Have Done It Sooner...- Beachwood, OH

I had my breast reduction in December 2012. I am 42 years old. I met with three doctors before I chose Dr. Goldman and I could not be happier with my decision! Following is an overview of my personal story and experience.
I was pouring myself into 34 DD but I know I was larger. I just happened to find one particular bra that fit me in that size so I bought it. I had weighed 50 pounds more and I also had a lot of extra skin and they just hung really bad.
I started a running program in the summer of 2012 and running was tough. Once I selected Dr. Goldman, I pushed myself to get in the best shape I could - and I am glad I did that. I lost about 15 pounds between my consultation and the surgery. And I've lost another 5 since the surgery. It's easier to run now!
I am 5-4 and weighed 130 at the time of my surgery.
As for the surgery itself...I was a little sick from the anesthesia, but I've had that experience before. The first two days were a little painful, but it got better every day. The hardest part for me was sleeping. I laid on my back and then my back would hurt. Honestly, after one week, I felt great!
I was also glad to be able to have the surgery in the office, where I was comfortable.
I started walking on the second week and was back to running two and a half weeks later. I started slow but was back to normal in a couple weeks. And now, I can't believe how much easier it is to run and do other exercise classes where I have to jump!
I went bra shopping and if they are pretty, fancy bras, I wear a 32 D, but I wear a C if there is no underwire and more coverage. But the amazing thing is that I don't pour them into bras anymore. They are where they should be!
I am wearing the NuGel scar strips now. The scars are flat now for the most part, and just still a little dark, but I know that will go away.
This whole experience from beginning to now has been fantastic. I would recommend Dr. Goldman to anyone! I am still having a wonderful experience! Like most people who have breast reduction say, I wish I had done it sooner!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us:)
Keep up the good work with the exercise and weight loss.
