My motivation for undergoing this procedure came from years of working out and watching my diet, trying to get rid of my problem area, which was really muscle separation and excess skin that wasn't going to go away no matter what I did. After 3 consults over 4 years with Dr. Goldman, I finally decided it was time for the surgery. Everything I was told pre-op as far as how I would feel, how long it would take to heal, and the results I could expect, was completely accurate. My healing progressed almost to the day as Dr. Goldman and his staff explained. I was doing mild cardio (i.e. the elliptical machine) within a week of my surgery date. Once both drainage tubes were out (about 10 days), each day was better than the last. For me, that was the worst part of the entire process, because you do get sore at the tube sites. By 6 weeks, I was doing most of my old workouts, minus the abs portion. I did a spin class 8 weeks out, fully completed a yoga class at 9 weeks, and was in a bikini by week 10. I do feel that a huge part of the quick healing process was preparation before surgery (mentally and physically), and a positive attitude. I received excellent care from Dr. Goldman and his staff. My post-op visits were quick, yet thorough. I am thrilled with my results.
