I just had my breast reduction 4 days ago....

WORTH IT
I just had my breast reduction 4 days ago. Yesterday I took my first shower. I actually took a bath so I could shave my legs and then I sponged bathed my breasts and under arms. I feel fine. I only took the prescribed Vicodin three times and then decided that it made me groggy and went to Extra Strength Tylenol. I tried on my clothes yesterday and even went out for dinner. People complemented me saying that now they look at my face versus my breast. They thought I looked 20 pounds lighter. I am 5'3 and 130 pounds. I haven't weighed myself since my surgery because I feel bloated and my stomach now seems bigger because I can see it more! I am not sold on this being the right move yet. I bought 8 different bras and only one fits. The bra I found to have the sss(soft, support and sexy) I found on Amazon. It is Annette Women's Post Surgical Softcup Wirefree Bra. I have the 36D. I like it so much that I bought it in white and tan yesterday! I am used to feeling sexy. Right now I do NOT, but this bra helps! My post op appointment is on Tuesday. I did not speak with my doctor after the surgery so I am not sure how much I have been reduced.

I'd say give it some time! I was told to not even attempt to buy a bra until 6 months post op because your breasts change so much. I'm sure in time you will learn to feel comfortable and sexy in your new body! Good luck :)

I'm day 6 post op and I wish I had your results! I was told I'd probably be a D after all was said and done. I'm still swollen and I'm lucky if I'm even a C. I wanted them smaller of course, but I feel it's gone too much the other way. I think you've got the ideal set! Maybe it'll just take some time to adjust for both of us.

They almost feel like what I would imagine implants would feel like because they are still swollen! I never had any drainage yet; is that normal? I really didn't bleed either. Last weekend I went bicycling and kayaking (mild kayaking) and aside from still being a bit sore and swollen I feel good! Why do I have to wear the bra at night? All the incisions are closed and tape is off.

My friend wants a breast reduction. I just got my implants replaced. I love your before boobs. Wish I had them naturally. How are you liking your reduction? How long is your recovery? Hope you are doing well and are happy. :)

I recovered very fast actually. It's weird because I have always had to watch what I wear to work because most clothes looked very revealing on me. Outside of work, I didn't care! I returned after taking 3 days off of work and most people didn't notice! I still fit in 34DDD, but my dr said I was completely wearing the wrong size (its all I could find because I am not wide around) I am afraid to go without a bra because I sn afraid they might get droopy! I tried to wear a sexy bra last weekend and I was a little sore the next day. I am going to wait a little longer now. I kind of feel flat chested...but thankfully my scars are minimal. It's also weird because I haven't had any of that leakage people talk about? It is nice to find clothes size small for once! The majority of my shirts armpits go down super far now. Because my clothes fit better, someone even asked me if I had implants now!

That's great news! My boobs got huge pregnant that's why I got implants the first time I was a 36B went to a 40E. I had same problem finding a bra. Fredricks of Hollywood was my savior. Ya might want to check them out. VS runs super small. Don't want them saggy after fixing them :) thanks for the response Doll

I actually went down a size (the ONLY times in my life!) when I was pregnant AND I was not a candidate to breast feed because there wasn't any! I just was a little sad for a second when you said my old ones looked good :( This is an adjustment! My neck & back just hurt too much!

Awe! I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you feel bad at all. Your Dr did a great job. My friend wants a reduction because of neck and back pain also she gets deep grooves in her shoulders from straps, but hers are super saggy. I've spent 20g total for implants that aren't even as big as I want cause Dr said I was too small and thin skin blah blah blah. So when I saw your before I was just like WHY? I'd love those. I apologize again hope you understand I wasn't trying to mean at all. Hugs :)
