I live in NYC and decided to travel to Florida to get my rhinoplasty done on April 27, 2014 by Dr. Michael Salzhauer, also known as “Dr. Maimi.” He is a very popular doctor and I chose him because he had been referred to me by a friend that lived in Florida. He had great before and after pictures on his website, but I unfortunately did not have a great experience as I suffered horrible results. I ended up botched due to his sloppy work such as over-filing cartilage which led to my bridge collapsing, a bulbous tip and uneven nostrils. I chose him at the time because he was one of the cheaper options I could afford and I regret having gone to him in the first place. He might be great at scultping beautiful bodies, but not noses. He offered to re-do my nose job, but I definitely do not trust him touch my nose again.

What are your options now? Is it something that can be fixed? Do you have any before & after pictures? I have only seen 1 rhinoplasty by him & it did seem like a lot of filing. However, I don't know much about the procedure.

Hi Caligirl, I am looking into getting a revision rhinoplasty here in nyc, but it is definitely very expensive. I definitely hope it can be fixed, but due to the over filing I will most likely have to use either rib/ear cartilage and worse case scenario I would need an implant to fortify my bridge. I don't want to say Dr. Salzhauer is a bad surgeon, but he was just not at all the right one for me. Just make sure you do your research as you don't want to go through the nightmare of having to re-do it. I will try my best to post pictures this weekend...although I am very self conscious of it :/.

Not yet, so far I am going to see a couple of surgeons here in nyc so I should be be able to figure out soon which doctor provides the better solution for me.

I had my nose done by Dr. Ciardullo in White Plains. I loved my results. Maybe he can fix your nose. I am so sorry to hear about your results. Good Luck

Im actually surprised he offered to redo it. Having said that, the before and afters I've seen of a few of his nose jobs I didn't like the after. Granted, they were better than the before, I don't like his style. He does too much of a scoop on the bridge.

I feel like this is your own fault... why would you go to someone who does mostly BBL and body work and get a RHINOPLASTY. The most complicated and difficult plastic surgery there is. You should have gone to a SPECIALIST. Someone who ONLY works on faces. Blame yourself for not doing the proper research

He actually specialized in rhinoplasty BEFORE he started getting popular for bbls. He was known as the nose king so you should have done proper research before leaving this comment.
