MiraDry Treatment with Megan
Hi y'all, I would like to share my experience with the miraDry treatment for reducing armpit sweat and odor. Since I was much younger, I had always suffered from excessive sweating. I would apply antiperspirant deodorant every day to control the sweat and the smell. That wasn't always successful. I would still have excessive sweating, especially when I am nervous, which happened too often. I hoped that one day I would find a permanent solution to this issue.
I heard about miraDry and asked Meghan Hemingway about it. She explained, in details, how the treatment was done and how it worked. It did not take me too long to realize that it was the solution that I was looking for. She said most people got satisfying results after one treatment, but I wondered if I needed two treatments since I sweated much more than average. We agreed that two treatments could be better for me, and I got the second one at a generously discounted price.
The period between the first and second treatments was about three months. Both treatments were similar in terms of the procedures and the temporary side effects. A few days before the treatment, I shaved my underarms. Before the miraDry laser treatment was applied, the nurses injected some sort of liquid in the underarms to numb them. The needles were a little painful, but it is all good after that. I guess it took about an hour to finish the laser treatment. I did not really feel anything at all; not even the slightest pain.
It was such a long time for a treatment, but I did not get bored or tired at all. Megan has a great emotional intelligence, and she knows how to keep the client relaxed and comfortable. She knows when the patient feels like talking or staying silent. I know that because I had an Infini treatment with her before the miraDry, and I noticed that. I am usually a talkative person, so we just talked during the treatment about different things. And of course, I asked her a LOT of questions about this treatment and other treatments. She also gave me some beauty tips that I tremendously appreciated.
After each on the two treatments, I was left with swelled underarms. The swelling seemed to get worse for about three days. Due to gravity, the fluids made their way into my chest and torso. Most of it disappeared in two weeks, but the swelling of the underarms stayed for about three weeks.
The results are amazing. After the first treatment, I felt about 60% of reduction in sweating and 65% of reduction in odor. After the second one, it feels like the sweating and odor are less by 95%. I am really glad that I did this treatment. I would strongly recommend those who suffer from excessive sweating or odor to do it. Also, if you are going to have, you should do it in Dr. Weiler Clinic with Megan because she is just the best medical aesthetician.
