Single guy in my 30s who does 2-3 workouts a day, eats clean and could not get rid of the inner-tube for the life of me. I scheduled a consultation to see what my options. I met Kirk & Dr. Howell and explained my situation. I told them how I had Cool Sculpting done about 2 years prior, but wasn't overly impressed with those results. I told them I workout 2-3 times a day, 7 days a week, and eat a pretty clean diet and can still not get rid of my problem areas. They listened and understood exactly what I wanted. They suggested Vaser Liposuction and educated me on it. I was sold. I told them I had an upcoming beach vacation in about 3 months so I would like most swelling to be gone by then so they were able to schedule my procedure 12 days after my consultation. When I left my consultation I felt extremely comfortable, informed about my procedure, and was excited to have it done. The next step was another appointment about a week before surgery (pre-opt appointment). Mrs. Melissa was my nurse and she went over everything and made sure all my questions were answered. (When I could workout again, how long the procedure is, etc.) Finally surgery came and I was anxious; not nervous just anxious. Their staff could not have been any more accommodating to ensure I was at ease. My mother took me to the clinic the day of surgery and stayed with me. I had told them she was more nervous than I was so they educated her on the procedure, answered her questions (being a Mom) and kept her informed while I was in surgery. Actual surgery: they num you up good, but you are awake. I was nervous about this, but it was nothing. No BS, it is very doable. I have a fairly high tolerance for pain, but it wasn't bad. To be honest, Cool Sculpting hurt more with the vacuum suction than this procedure. There were one or two spots were I did feel it more than others and I told Dr. Todd and he was able to apply more numbing medicine before starting again. Again, the entire surgery Dr. Todd and nurse Melissa was right there with me constantly asking if I was ok and making sure I was comfortable. Surgery was about 3 hours as I had both flanks (love handles) and stomach done. Afterwards you have to wear this compression suit for 6 weeks to help with the swelling etc. I knew about this in the consultation and Mrs. Melissa was able to help me get in my garment and explain when I can take it off etc. I then went home to rest. I was sore, but I expected that so I just laid in bed the remainder of the day. The next day Dr. Todd wanted to see me again for a check-up. This was the first time seeing my results without the garment. I was so impressed. He smiled and said "If you are happy with the results now, just wait until the swelling goes down." During the consultation they explained how I will continue to see results 4-6 months after surgery date. If anyone is considering having this done I highly recommend it. I will gladly post my pre surgery and post surgery pics once my swelling goes down. I hope this review was helpful and if you are in the Baton Rouge or Lafayette area I highly recommend the Anti Aging Clinic.

Posting Pics: Before, Day After Surgery, & 3.5 Week Progress

It's been just over 3 weeks. I'm very happy with the results and Dr. Todd said they will continue to improve because I am still early on. Week 1 after surgery I could only sleep on my back because my stomach and sides were too sore, but I am able to sleep on sides again; haven't tried stomach. I'm working out again; everything but core. I met with the trainer at the gym and he suggested no free weights until I am in the 6 weeks clear. So I am doing machines, lower weight, double/triple the reps. I complete each workout with stretching and a session on the elliptical. By week 3 pretty much all my bruising has disappeared. In fact, I went to the pool with friends and no one noticed a thing; it was nice being out of my garment, but I am still wearing it religiously. I'll continue to post pics and updates.
