I was going in for a chemical peel but dr z's assistant Ellie talks he into getting allumera with red light and blue light. It burned my face and caused wrinkles on the sides of my eyes. When I went in for a follow up and looked at my before and after pictures, it made me want to cry. I asked if the wrinkles will go away and she said to keep moisturizing and pointed out that I signed a consent form.

So, I have a bunch of lines that seem to connect my pores. My skin went from not good to terrible. All I’ve ever wanted was clear skin and this photo facial didn’t help, just made me look old with a weird texture. I only go out at night. I feel like people are looking at my skin wondering what’s wrong with it. I went back to z dermatology and the assistant that did the procedure wouldn’t come in the room but the dermatologist did... which who I thought I was seeing in the first appointment for a chemical peel! Ending up with a assistant pressuring me to get this bbl ipl what ever this burning light she placed over my head was called! Telling me it shrinks pores and helps acne scares. I noticed one month after...lines on the sides of my eyes. As time went on, I had lines everywhere along with dents. Some lighting I cant even stand to look at myself. I asked the dermatologist if she could fix this and she said no just keep moisturizing. They gave me a refund but I just wanted them to fix the damage I seem to be stuck with. Here’s some before n after photos. All with makeup. I hate not having makeup on ????

I’m going through the exact same thing. I’m so sorry. The way we are being handled is the worst- they are even ignoring my request for a refund. The least they can do. I saw you did a facelift, I am considering too. I’m only 29!! But my skin is now so saggy and wrinkly with open pores. I tried filler but it didn’t really do much. Have you had any improvement from the lift?

I see some improvement, I had nano fat graft during facelift and prp injected under the cheeks. It helped with the weird dents but my texture came back after swelling went down. My dr is now suggesting I do FaceTite with Morpheus, the new version of Fractora but I’m scared of those devices now. My skin is terrible. I’ve been trying to fix it for a year and a half. My cheeks look melted with large pores everywhere that connect with zig zag lines. I’ve also did filler but it goes on weird because the skin is burned. I’ve had plenty of filler in the past and loved the result but now it tethers up under the skin.

:( I haven't found a single person that was able to cure the texture

look for a gentler laser to fix the issue, please read my post just above. it seems that our skintype is sensitive one thus, we don't need higher energy level. sometimes just a simple and older generation laser would do. my bad derm suggested me with Fraxel though i don't even need it for my problem in the first place. then i went to another doctor who could heal another patient with deep acne scars in her 50s very well with just the old Erbium laser.

Absolutely NOT doing a laser. But glad it worked for you

sorry to hear what you've gone through. i was also damaged by Fraxel but has regained around 70-80% improvement. what you were told to moisturize after a laser damage is correct. so keep moisturizing until the redness subside. in my case i waited up to 6 months, the redness was still there and also the rough texture to the touch. then i was prescribed a lesser strength form of retinol called retinaldehyde (Adapalene has the same strength) which is gentle to sensitive skin as ours but still effective. from then on, my skin transformed tremendously even within 2 weeks. 1 year after that i went to a derm that specializes in laser and knows what he's doing. i actually went there for my acne scar but he lasered (Revlite laser) the whole face and i could see the texture improved by just 1 session. my experience is with the right treatment and doctors after i got damaged, we do still have hope to improve it by lot. i , myself don't expect it to diminish completely but at least the damage is not visible even to the professionals eyes. also it took 1 year plus as well and my skin is still improving. wishing you all the best for the healing journey and remember you're not alone
