Hope this helps some of you ladies out there considering explant. Note I still have the steri strips on, they will not come off until my follow up appointment, this Friday. Hopefully I can get out of the post surgery bra, and go buy some new ones : )

Had implants removed yesterday, sure wish I would have done this years ago, the first time it crossed my mind. I feel so free. If you are considering explant, don't wait is my advice. I feel great, a little tired, and this bra they put me in is itchy, but I rather that than the heavy toxic bags. So thankful for this website , and that The Lord provided me the means financially to have the procedure.

Wow it's done, not bad at all. I had appt for 8am, had to be there for 7:15. Performed under local anesthesia , I was home in my bed resting by 9:30. So far so good , God is good. I have slight pain incesion on right breast , but not terrible , doctor said I can take shower tomorrow ,they didn't wrap me just a front closure bra thing, they put on , I'll post pics when I can .

He was absolutely wonderful. Didn't try to pressure me to get new implants, very through on what I can expect before, during and after procedure. The whole staff awesome! He was not my original PS, I thought he would ask who was, but didn't, which was a relief to me, of course my original PS is in Baton Rouge also, I am sure they know each other. I did go to my original PS first to get a consultation about explant, and she was adamant about replacing them with smaller implants, that I would not be happy if I explant. Its my body and I knew I didn't want foreign objects any longer, that was disappointing to me. However I then went and met with Dr. Wade, so refreshing to have a doctor "listen" to the patient. I can't say enough good about him.
