4 days post op and I'm doing pretty well. I had 6lbs removed...woahhhh. I was already told that I look smaller and my back is more erect. Pain has been minimal just at the incision sites and with certain movements but otherwise all is well. Using a 38 DD compression bra; very swollen boobs for sure but they look great, perky and cutesie.
Taking it easy at present not rushing a thing lol and it feels so peaceful to just chill out. This is only the beginning but I'm very grateful for the love and support.
Took my first bath this morning and clearly my tummy is too huge. Having some back pain still dunno if it is from the sleeping or if boobs still too heavy.
Will post pics soon.

Hi Tammika!! Congratulations on your breast reduction, I know you are extremely happy to have the weight lifted off of your shoulders. I am so thankful that you placed a post up of your journey, because I am the EXACT same way. I have been trying to talk to someone that had a breast reduction before, but has the same size as me.
I have two other sister's and one of is my twin. I am the only one that has the overly large breast. My twin sister has large breast too, but not as large as mine. She is a 26 DD. I'm possibly a 44J, but I wear a 44H from lane bryant only because thats the biggest size they go up to. When I wear that bra, it still comes out A LOT at the bottom and on the sides.
I am 26yrs old and I have been trying to get a breast reduction since I was 19yrs. I've been getting the run around with people telling me that I had to lose weigh. Until finally, I moved to a different city, got a different doctor, and the insurance approved it right away.
I've been going to this plastic surgeon for a while because he got my breast reduction approved and he is willing to do my surgery. BUT, I'm starting to feel really uncomfortable now, because it was suppose to be on July 11th, but then they change it to July 5 because he has to go to a conference. Now its changed again to July 31st.
Its a lot of things they are not telling me, like: how much is the surgery, what will I have to pay out of pocket, what medications will I have to take before the surgery, will I have drains, or what size will I go to? The surgeon was telling me that I had to get a "free nipple grafting" type of breast reduction. I really do not agree with that. I know I have overly large breast, but he didn't tell me that I will be getting the nipple graft until I researched it and asked.
Now, I'm trying my hardest to get a second opinion from another surgeon, but I still have my date for this surgery on July 31st. I'm really afraid that something is going to happen that I don't want and didn't agree with. So, when you had your surgery, did they have to do the free nipple grafting? or what type of breast reduction was it? Did you have to take any type of medication before going in to surgery?? I'm very curious to know and is so thankful that I found you!!
Congrats again!! ....sorry for the long post! :)

Xibonita. About ypur doctor!! I was to have mine on June 5th. I went in the daybefore for all the ins and outs and I literally had to pull info out if him on what he was going to do!! I left in hysterics!! I cancelled the surgery! I have a new consult with a new PS on July 17th!! Insurance has approved it! I am so glad because i was afraid the whole time with other doc! I am a 40k i also wear a 40Hdifferent from layne bryant!! I spill out big time but I go around adjusting all the time!! An you get in with another PS so you can get a second opinion and feel!! My jerk doc wanted tobtake me to a C and a nipple graft thing also!! I have talked with other socs and they all say the samething you have to have a good relatiinship with your PS. This is something special and permanent! !! Praying for you!! If you have bad vibes you pwe tourself a second opinion!! I am only sharing because I was in ypur shoes!! We will get to the other side!!!Keep us updated! This is a great place for support!!! We are here for you!!
aww thank you so much for replying back. I am trying to hard to get a second opinion. My plastic surgeon is trying to get me down to the smallest size, but I do not want that at all. Like you said, its special and permanent. I want to feel comfortable with my doctor. I had to go up do the doc office and threaten to cancel, but once I said that, they were all telling me not to cancel. Then they started to tell me about all the stuff they were going to do for me. But I still feel uneasy. I'm in the process of trying to find another doctor as we speak.I really wanted it done before August
My doc did that to me! I want a full D and i want the chances of feelings in my nipples! He never disscussed anything with me told me i was mentally not prepared and i needed to do research! Duh! This site has taught me more than that ps! I can not wait to meet the new guy!! I have come to terms that june and before august was not in my timing!! It will happen!!
Hi dear as you correctly said it is special and permanent and it is honestly best that you find someone that you are very comfortable with. This journey will test you emotionally, physically, spiritually and the list goes on ...with that in mind having a good team on board is a necessity especially your ps. To answer your questions I did have a free nipple graft due to the size and weight of my breasts...trusting for sensation. I'm comfortable with the decision but if you are not do explore your options... Don't settle until you have found out enough.
Medications...no I didn't have to take anything before, actually I was asked to avoid taking certain meds namely herbal tablets 2 weeks before the operation. As far as post op, I'm using mild painkillers ever so often, primarily before bed and then on a morning.
My major thing is swelling, I don't have drains so thus fluid is definitely there, next appt is Wednesday.
Hope everything works out for you. Please keep in contact and as fayfull said we will be here for each other.
