How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Revision with Dr. Somsak -- 100% worth it.
When I returned to Yanhee to discuss a potential revision, Dr. Somsak met with me. I was expecting to see another surgeon, but he was absolutely insistent on righting what he saw was a wrong, and making me happy. This further demonstrates what incredible integrity this man has.
He explained again that it was the closed technique that caused the issues. He was very concerned with sending me back to school with scars and a lot of swelling/bruising, so he had attempted a closed technique which results in significantly less healing time and no external incisions. This revision was preformed at absolutely no cost.
He created a plan with me to rasp the nasal bones where they were still showing a side-hump, and suture the tip to create a nice profile with an open technique. No additional fractures. I trusted him, and we booked surgery for March 26. I was in the hospital for one night, and had no pain. The swelling around my cheeks and eyes peaked and subsided quickly, and I was able to breathe out of my nose after one day.
Today was my one week follow up, and the bandages were removed. The profile is stunning, and the change is incredibly dramatic. The tip is high, and he even went so far as to correct an asymmetry in my nostrils he noticed.
There is obviously still a lot of swelling, but this is leaps and bounds better than the previous result.
Dr. Somsak and Yanhee have high ethnical standards. If my case is anything to show, they will work so hard to make you happy and keep your best interests in mind. I am stunned and impressed with the service I received, and I will be returning to Yanhee for a mole excision later this month.
Final FINAL verdict: Just go to Yanhee and see Dr. Somsak.

More updates...
Where I last left off, I was unhappy with my result. There was an open roof deformity that was present because of Dr. Somsak's non-aggressive approach. Dr. Somsak had offered a revision free of charge, and I went to consult with him. He was honest and said he did not think he could achieve a much better result.
I asked Yanhee for either a refund, or a different surgeon to do the revision -- They advised that both options would have to be approved by Dr. Somsak. He approved both options, making it clear that he just wanted me to be fully satisfied.
I think he is a man of extremely high integrity, and a good surgeon. I believe the issues we had with my surgery were just the result of his conservative approach. He was trying his hardest to ensure I did not have a scar, or swelling that lasted too long, because he was worried for me as a student who had to resume classes shortly after the surgery date. I believe this was a contributing factor to the poor outcome.
Ultimately, Yanhee has demonstrated that it is an impeccable institution, and I WOULD recommend both Dr. Somsak and Yanhee to anyone, even though my result was 100% what I wanted the first time. I am meeting with a new surgeon at Yanhee this week to discuss a revision, and will update accordingly.

Another Update
I reached out to Yanhee, and to their credit they immediately sought counsel from Dr. Somsak who immediately offered a revision at no cost. We met and discussed, and he offered me options to fix the open roof, and he seemed apologetic.
In my last post, I did not really elaborate. Effectively, the hump was removed, but the open space the hump once occupied was not successfully closed, leaving a 'plateau' similar to if you had cut the tip off of a mountain.
The side profile is alright, for the most part. The 3/4 view is a little worse. The front view is the most depressing.
Dr. Somsak kindly offered two options to address the issue, a complete revision, and a rasping that would narrow the sides by shaving the protruding bone edges and make a smoother appearance. I have not decided on which, if any, I will decide on.
I have to commend Yanhee for swiftly and kindly dealing with this issue, I was genuinely surprised that they offered a revision. I believe this demonstrates they are a good hospital, and Dr. Somsak is a good doctor.
