WORTH IT$3,060
Ok so it’s still 10 1/2 months since my hair transplant and I am wearing my hair down for the very first time since the Op today!!! It’s still short at the front of course so I’ll be staying out of the wind but I absolutely love how it looks and can’t wait for it to all be the same length!! One step at a time still at the minute tho!! I’ve waited to wear my hair down again for SOOOOO long! Today is a good day!!

Wow! Gorgeous! Can you post a photo of your hairline up close? I’m scheduled for October and don’t know if I should just make what I have more dense or lower my hairline. I have a big forehead but I’m afraid if they lower the hairline it won’t be dense enough. Maybe I should just add to the think g parts of my hair instead. Do you see a difference between your new hairline and your original hairline in terms of density?
September 24, 2018
It’s hard to explain, the hair isn’t as dense as the rest of my hair but it’s not massively noticeable no, people wouldn’t know unless I told them, I still have a long way to go as the longer it gets the better it will sit once it has more weight... I had a large forehead too, in a perfect world I would want more density but I order for me to have more grafts added they would need to shave the hairline back to do the procedure and I’m just not willing to go through the whole waiting game of hiding it again!! I’ll settle and be happy with what I’ve got as we as women will always strive for perfection. It never be fully happy lol x

Hi Kelly, i did mine around the same time as you. My new hair is rather wavy. Side is growing pretty thick but my center is pretty sparse. Not sure if they're gonna continue to grow more but i dont seem to see other hair follicle left. Kinda worried if this is gonna be it cos its sparse at center.

Is your center sparse?
September 24, 2018
My transplanted hair is extemly wavy and coarse! Once I’ve straightened it it’s fine but it’s a totally diff texture from the rest of my hair at the min, apparently after your folicals have had a few cycles it will soften, I’ve read that the waviness comes from the hair finding it’s path and pushing its way through the skin as it wasn’t ever supposed to be there... my hair isn’t as thick in the middle as it is on the sides but I believe only I would notice that, people don’t pay as much attention to it as I do loooking at it in the mirror every day inspecting it lol x

Kelly your hair looks incredible, I am so happy that you had such a wonderful outcome! I am a 25 year old female and have my FUT hair transplant scheduled in 2 weeks. I am nervous but it is something I have wanted since the age of 17 since I have traction alopecia from wearing my hair long hair up in a tight pony tail every day for 10 years when I was younger and the hair never grew back. Thus I decided to get this procedure to fix the hair loss, lower my hairline and make my forehead smaller.
I truly appreciate all of your posts and photos as it is very difficult to find information on females getting hair transplants.

Did you have shock loss of the native hairs at all around your recipient area where the hairs were transplanted to?
Also were the stitches in the back of your head uncomfortable and did you have any numbness after the procedure? I'm worried how the back of my head will feel and if it will be bothersome.
If you have any other tips or advice for me please let me know :)

Thank you in advance!

Hi Tara! Firstly well done for making the leap to get it done it’s not an easy decision to make even if it is something you’ve always wanted done!
Ok so shock loss... for me I honestly didn’t notice any hair loss but I put that down to mainly having most of not all my transplanted hair placed into lowering my hairline rather than making it thicker... if there was hair loss for me then it must have been minimal because I didn’t notice it as I wore it covered every day with travelling.
The stitches in the back of my head wasnt a massive problem but became a little annoying as I found myself itching through the night then I would wake myself up after hurting myself... again I was travelling so it took a little extra care on my behalf to keep it clean, I will say tho that in the left side it took quite a bit longer to heal and I do believe it got a little infected as one part refused to heal for weeks (again nothing I wasn’t able to stay in top of myself) and that same point I am left with about half the size of my thumb nail (or so it feels) along the scar line that’s bald... this doesn’t bother me in the slightest as it can’t be seen and I never plan on shaving my head lol!
The numbness... ok this worried me for a long time during my recovery, the recipient area was numb for months probably into about 5months if I remember correctly but started to come back little by little (feeling it now I think there maybe be still some loss of feeling but it definitely doesn’t have that strange numb feeling to it any more) the scar along the back was the strangest sensation because it itches fr a long time by I couldn’t feel the satisfaction from scratching it haha... that area was numb for the same amount of time if not longer and when that feeling started to return it was very odd became it now feels like my nerve ending are still repairing themselves as when I brush my hair down the right I can feel tingle so the left of my head... it’s all very odd but I don’t feel I’m left with any permanent damage... the FUT deffo takes longer to heal but I’m still 100% glad I got the results I did... just sit tight and don’t expect anything until the 3 1/2 - 4 month point ish... the waiting is torture... also manage your expectations that you may need a second procedure if you’re not happy with the density (this could always be (FUE) as it would only need a top up but you will need to shave your new hairline back again to implant the new folicals which I’m just not prepared to do! Good luck and I would be very interested to hear how you get on! X

Hi Kelly! Thank you so much for your lengthly and thorough response it really gave me a sense of encouragement and more an idea on what to expect in the future! :) I am happy to report that I got my FUT Hair Transplant yesterday and it went extremely well! I honestly feel like I was nervous for nothing because the procedure itself way easier than I could of imagined and was completely painless. I just posted my review so check it out if you would like! I will continue to update on my progress and follow yours but you really helped me so much :) Xx

Thank you for posting your journey ! Your new hairline looks amazing!!! I have wanted a Lower hair line for as long as I can remember! But I am so torn between a transplant or a surgical hairline advancement , the results are quicker with the surgical hairline advancement but also the risk of shock loss is greater or so what iv seen on some other reviews , is this the reason you chose the transplant vs surgical advancement? Also did you have bangs befor ? An do you thinks bangs would be enough to cover the transplanted areas?

How did you find this clinic? I'm thinking of getting my FUT/FUE surgery in Korea or Thailand but I can't find much info on this clinic other than your review and their website isn't the best...

10 1/2 months Post Op FUT UPDATE

kelly8585
10 and a half months Post Op and just have my highlights redone, it’s looking the best it ever has now the transplanted hair was longer enough for the hair dresser to proper grab to place the dye on properly!
Hairline started to itch again a lot this week so I’m still content it’s still growing in, would always be happier with more dentisty but I can deffo be happy with what I have now ... CAN NOT WAIT to wear it down properly tho!!

10 months post op hair transplant

Haven’t posted in a couple of months, these pictures are my 10 month update, I’m really happy with the progress to date! The transplanted hair it still growing through darker, more coarse and wirey than my own roots but I just keep having highlights put through every couple of months to help it blend, the transplanted hair is much easier to straighten and pin back now due to the length but not long enough to wear down and blend into my own hair... there are of course some parts that aren’t as dense as the rest of my hair but I’m confident when I have the length I’ll be able to change where I have my parting and I’ll still be happy with it! X
