My partner and I are planning a trip to SE Asia at the end of this year, it will be our last holiday together before trying to have a baby so I thought it might be good timing to get my ears done. It costs $6000+ in Australia, something I realistically won't be able to afford any time in the near future.
I have read Bangkok is around $800-3000 depending on where I go. I would like to keep the cost down, but still go somewhere reputable. I will be taking out after care cover with my health provider so that if anything goes wrong they cover any extra surgeries I may have to do. So I'll be covering my ass.
Hoping to hear from people who have had this done in Bangkok, with photos and costs if possible.
Also, I just read up about the Stich Method today but am unsure about it.

I haven't any experience with anything aside from consultations here in the US, I contacted a doc in Inida, for similar reasons to your own, but never thought of Bangkok. Please keep me poste, if you can, here on what you decide or if you find anything out regarding a reputable surgical center.
I've been in contact with a few clinics and hospitals, at this point Im most likely going with Yahnee hospital. But I've still got 11 months or so to make a decision :) Will keep you posted.
Its risky going to another country as you will no nothing about the surgeons skill technique or cleanliness of the clinic. what happens if complication arise when you are back at home you could develop a heamatoma in the ear and if thats not bad enough it could become infected leading to disastrous consequences, your find that other surgeons will be reluctant to touch it back at home as fear of being sued. not trying to scare you but theres been many a person caught out by cheap surgery abroad.
Otoplasty surgery is not as easy surgery as you think there are many techniques some more risky than others, theres more to it than just folding it back as you have to keep the ear looking natural and can only really be done by a a specialized otoplasty surgeon if you want a natural result. i would save up and go to someone like Dr Nicholas Lotz, AUSTRALIA who specalizes in this kind of surgery. Good luck whatever you decide.

sorry forgot to add i dont think your ears stick out excessively ,i think women can get away with it more and they tend to have longer hair. Knowing what i know about this surgery id be inclined to leave them as they are.
You are beautiful! I wish you the best of luck and please post an update on how your procedure went.
