Update of breast implant removal and lift
So here is a photo from. A year after the procedure- total removal and lift . They looked perfect from the moment I saw them! I was so incredibly shocked at how shapely they were and after over two years still are. My surgeon was amazing and I couldn’t be more happy.

Finally!
I did it. Took years to make the decision and finally did it. Even up to a week before surgery, I was still undecided about simple removal or with a lift. It was a money issue and also not wanting a radical surgery( a lift isn’t radical but a lot more breast trauma). My doctor said that I might be bigger with a simple removal, but perkier with the additional lift( but less breast tissue). I finally made my decision and went with the lift. I figured something should be perky! I am also 56 and really don’t want any more surgeries, so better do it all. I am so pleased. Even though my surgeon warned me there would be less volume, it’s enough and I feel and look so slim. No regrets- except I wish I had done it years ago.

Hello, I have followed your posts and been thinking of you. Yay!! I am so happy for you. I am 53 yrs old and will be doing explant, capsule removal and lift after 11 yrs of 500cc silicone unders. My surgeon was also visibly surprised when I told him I didn't want to replace with smaller implants. I have spent the last 7 or so yrs concealing with baggy tops. I hate the way they feel. Its like I can't breath. I do yoga and dance exercise and I just no longer care for the large boob look. He doesn't think I will be happy with outcome. He says I will be A cup. I told him I just want to be small and perky. He said he can replace with 200cc. I said I will think on it but most likely just want a lift. I feel like they are stifling my breathing. My surgery is scheduled for June 21st. Do you have any pictures and are you happy with outcome?
I have taken photos and had so much trouble uploading them...... Always says photos are too large. I will try my best again.

Summer 2018 update
Hello ladies. I have seen a new doctor in Germany. Although initially he was not in support of the removal, he understood that the cc was a huge problem for me and removal was the best option. He did not persuade me to replace but is very concerned I will be disappointed in the outcome. It was interesting to see photos of what he thought disappointing might be. SMILE. I told him I would be super pleased to have any of the three results he showed me....he has lots of results, but picked the ones most like my body. However, these were all BEFORE photos, as he is in the implant/ tummy tuck business. So can I get feed back? He is an experienced surgeon, but not too many removals done. He talked about capsul removal, drains etc and knows what he is doing. The price is good at about 3500 euros. I could have it done a week before Xmas and would have my husband and mother around....this period gives me the most recovery time. If you remember, I could go back to my doctor in Thailand. It's a similar OP cost but , doctor is experienced but unsupportive in the aspect he thinks the result will be poor, and I would stay in Thailand 1 week alone. The German doctor also said to not rush into a lift for 6-12 months, as the result can take a while....I really liked that. BUT, he warned I would have no tissue left after a lift...def an A cup .

Hi, just saw your story. I am one day post explant surgery, no lift, and I’m so happy I did it.
I posted my story yesterday but its yet to be approved, so hopefully be available to see soon. I had 335cc implants in for 13 years, and I have a 5 year old who I breastfed for almost 3 years.
Yes, there’s loose skin, and yes they’re the droopiest they’ve ever been, but I’m now 36 and by now after a pregnancy they’d have dropped anyway. But now they’re all mine and I can finally look forward to walking into ANY shop that sells bras and pick one for CHEAP!!
I just realised my comment cut in half!
So anyway, I’d go for the surgeon who listens to your needs. The Thailand one sounds like he’s only interested in the aesthetic outcome of his work, than what a patient is actually asking for. That’s not helpful or what’s best for you. Whatever you choose, I hope you’re happy with the outcome! Good luck xx
Thank you Daisy Chain 13. I am still confused who to go with....I.will still look for a while before deciding. O am excited.for you that you explanted already. Looking forward.to reading about your journey !
I'm a little older than you and had my implants for 29 years, same set, which was a big mistake. My explant was invasive because the capsules where so old, you shouldn't have that issue. I also had CC and the way they sat it looked fake in clothes, especially for my age. I was wearing baggie clothes and compression bras - so I knew it was time for a change. My kids were grown and it was time to do this for myself. Reading the stories on this site helped so much. I feel so much better with them out. With a comfy lightly padded bra I have a shape that matches my body and looks normal for my frame. It all takes a bit getting used and I needed to give away some large shirts and buy some size small! Find a surgeon with excellent skills and will listen to your wishes. I'm so happy I did the explant, no regrets at all.
I totally understand about the age matching the breasta. I mean don't get me.wrong. I dye my hair ( for now ) and I like clothes and.make.up to a degree. But my breasts have ridden up so high, I look like I am wearing a push up bra, which is inappropriate for most occasions ( yoga, lunch with my kids etc)
Hi sister! I just had my explant surgery done one week ago. I will put up a post soon.
I am small, 5'1, 118, had 240cc silicon gummy bear implants for 9 years, over the muscle. I am 38 now. I was suffering from Breast Implant Illness and just tired of having foreign objects protruding from my chest. Anyway, the surgery was a breeze. I did not need to take any thing for pain, not even Ibuprofen. However, 8 hours after surgery I developed a blood clot in my left breast with has some capsular contraction. They has to suction the blood out, wow, that hurt. My right breast looks beautiful! My left breast is swollen and breaking down the blot clot still. No tubes or drains were used. My surgeon removed most of the capsule, so as to be sure it could not reseal on its self and retain fluid/bacteria. I'm very happy over all with the procedure and my new, natural breasts. If you are unsure if this is the right surgeon for you, keep looking. This is a big deal and you want to choose the best practitioner, not the best price. Good luck!
