WORTH IT
On 12th May, 2015 I had my Hair Transplant at Nu Cosmetic Clinic, Koramangala. I came to know about Nu Cosmetic from a friend who had undergone cosmetic surgery there. From a quick internet search, I found that Nu Cosmetic is a UK based brand with more than 13 clinics in UK and several years of experience in medical aesthetics domain. So I thought I will give it a try.

When I came for my consultation, I was greeted by Shalini, the Hair Transplant Coordinator who explained in detail about the procedure, the aftercare and the recovery period. All my questions and concerns were answered and I felt confident. Then I met Shaji, the Hair Transplant Surgeon who showed me before and after pictures of several past patients on his iPad. He also showed me actual videos of some of the procedures he had done in the past to explain the various steps in hair transplant procedure. He was done several hair transplants in UK and India. Before even the consultation was over I was convinced about the skills and expertise of the team at Nu Cosmetic Clinic.

I decided to go for Hair Transplant because I wanted a permanent solution which is not possible through medicines. The cost of the procedure seemed reasonable when weighed against the cost of medicines which I will have to take for the rest of my life. So I decided to go ahead with my Hair Transplant. Prior to the procedure I had to undergo blood test and other mandatory tests. Everything was handled very efficiently by the team.

My procedure started at 7 AM on 12th May. First, the surgeon spent some time drawing the hairline that I wanted. The entire procedure took 6 hours from start to finish. I was given local anaesthesia so I did not feel any pain at all. The staff kept me updated on what stage I was at and what was coming next. Throughout the procedure, the team ensured that I was comfortable and engaged.

After the procedure was finished, I received instructions from the surgeon and the team on aftercare and precautions to avoid infection. I was asked to wear a cap to cover my head for 5 days. The nurse showed me how to wash and clean the area. I was assured that I can contact the team any time if I felt uncomfortable with any development after the procedure. This gave me confidence that I will be taken care of even after the procedure is completed.

Its been one week since my procedure. Everything is as expected, no pain or discomfort. This is my story so far. Will keep you updated with the progress and results. I would definitely recommend Nu Cosmetic for Hair Transplants. 5 stars to Nu Cosmetic for experienced surgeon, professional and friendly staff, attention to details and excellent aftercare.

Welcome to the community, I am thrilled that you had such a positive experience and that you shared your story with us. What method of transplant was performed. How many grafts were placed? Do you know what the cause of your hair loss? I am curious to know what medications you were offered before deciding on a transplant. If you have photos that you are comfortable sharing with the community, please do so as we would love to follow your progress.
