Hello! I have been lurking around this site for a few months now. I had a smart lipo consultation yesterday. Although my Dr was very nice and informative, he made me feel like I need to go with a tummy tuck rather than lipo. I absolutely do not want a tummy tuck. The reason he said this was because of my lower stretched out belly. He said it will look worse than it does and just hang over my underwear! I expected some hanging but he is making it seem like it's going to be horrible. I have seen and read many of the ladies on here's stories and my stomach is close to the ones who had kids and they all look amazing! I don't get it. So my question is for moms out there who had smart lipo. Is the extra stomach skin worse?

At my pre op appointment the nurse measured me for the compression garment. I'm sure they'll provide it since you wear it right out of the procedure! I'd definitely ask though. I'll be sure to continue posting the changes I'm seeing in my results but I think you're totally right for following your gut feeling on smart lipo! I think doctors are just so worried that we're going to expect some impossible pancake tummy result but most of us mommies with mommy bellies have realistic expectations! I didn't want a tummy tuck either because I can't say whether I'm done having children yet. You know what's best for you!

Oh sweet. Hopefully they will do the same for me. I'm suppose to be emailed more information about what to do. I agree about the surgeon trying to be realistic. I also feel like he went a little overboard in his explanation of my deflated saggy tummy which did freak me out but I see so many wonderful results on this site, like yours, and I just don't see it being that bad.

Usually the ones that doc gives you aren't the greatest or most convenient. I personally like myd faja brand. I suggest no matter what brand u get that u get one that zips at bottom. It makes bathroom use less of a hassle.

I think it's awesome that you're getting your procedure done, I think it will turn out just fine. Did you have to pay a deposit to hold the date? How much is your procedure in all?

Thank you so much. As I get closer to my date I'm getting really excited and nervous. I didn't have to pay a deposit and total it's $3500
