Hi ! I'm a 40 yr old married, mother of 2 children (19 and 10) , and 2 pups! Back in 2012 I was at my heaviest which was 331 pounds, that year I had WLS(sleeve), and I dropped down to 200 pounds within a year and 3 months. From 2013 to about 2 months ago,I have crept up the scale to 247! I decided enough was enough and I went back to basics- protein first, veggies next, and if I have room carbs ( I hardly ever have room for the carbs). I still have restriction in my sleeve so I never over eat, but I was eating everything I shouldn't have... and frequently.
My goal weight is to get down 210 by June 28th which is my surgery. My surgery is my motivator for me to eat right and lose this weight... because who wants to spend almost 20 grand for a result that won't look as good?
So, I'm getting the fleur de lis tt, BL/BA, and aggressive lipo to my thighs (dr made me understand that I may need a part 2 for thigh lift).
I am so ready for the body I've always wanted! I will update with pics of me without clothes - yuck and sorry for the image that will be burned in your retinas lol!

PS. You wonderful ladies who have been posting have such a huge help for me- thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

I am so happy for you and you're going to be happy with Dr. Vela work. Just to let you know I had the WLS (sleeve) in December 2011. I love everything about BelcaraHealth, nurse Lisa is wonderful, she's there to answer any questions you have. You'll probably see her when you go for your pre-op. You know June will be here before you know it so do whatever you gotta do to prepare yourself and talk to you later.

I'm now post op day 4. Haven't seen my results yet but finally feel like I'm on the mend. The first 2 days were the worst

Oh my.. I'm hoping that I sleep for the first few days lol. I've been saving up my sleeping pills just so I can sleep!

U know what! It'll be like unwrapping a xmas gift when you can finally take a look!
June 25, 2017
I hear you! I was so nervous and was scheduled for 0900. My Son stayed with me until I was taken to the OR. It will be over before you know it
June 25, 2017
You will be mostly asleep. Won't need sleeping pills. I was so out of it the first 3 days and only took 1 Percocet pill every 6 hours. Just make sure you stay on top of your nausea meds. That's the worse for the first 2-3 days

FYI once things start to move in your gut.... there is a lot of rumbling. I wasn't prepared for this and kind of got scared but it's normal. This happened on the second third day for me and it's loud rumbles and you can feel the way it travels up and down
June 25, 2017
Yes it will. Monday is my appt and that's when the surgeon will remove all the dressing and binder. Hoping my drains will come out then too. Hang in there! The first few days like I said it tough but the is definitely light at the end of the tunnel.

I just had my TT and BL with BA on Wednesday. I am so glad I did it. Good job losing the weight and continuing to work on yourself. If we don't take care of ourselves then we have a hard time taking care of others. Good luck with your weight loss. You can to do it. Keep the big picture (your surgery) in the forefront of your mind at all times so you'll remember why you are working so hard. I had to lose my weight in order to have the mommy makeover I wanted too. You got this lady, June will be here before you know it.

I am the same sorta I get down to 210 then I creep up to 248 then 220 then 230 after I had my baby it became harder and harder to lose weight. I am scheduled for mommy makeover in late May I'm getting so scared and I hope it's worth it and I get results. I'm realistic about it for I know I'm not going to be a size 5. I just want my stomach flatter because I can't wear nice cloths they are always baggy and ugly and I look pregnant still if I don't wear baggy cloths. I really would like to know if any plus size people have had the surgery and thought it was worth it or not????????

I have seen some tt where women were plus size. Majority looked great to me. Because I'm plus size and have extra skin above my BB, I am going for the fleur de lis TT. I want the best possible result. But I am trying to do my best to lose weight, because that's a lot of money to spend and then not be happy.

So, I started this week taking an herbal medication to help with my blood chemistry and help my metabolism. So , I'm always thirsty! Lol, this is a good think because I can go through an entire day with only drinking 8 oz of water. Not now... now I'm getting 120 oz of water where 32 oz is my unsweetened tea! I hope this helps with my weight loss goal. I also had a come to Jesus meeting with myself about eating healthier. I got this! I'm determined! Plus all of you beautiful ladies that have made it to the

It's called truvision, it helps with weight loss and at the same time build our blood chemistry up. It made me really thirsty. I did it for about 2 months and stopped when I got close to surgery.

Thanks, I'm on iron so I'll look into this. I'm so excited to have a way to jump start my weight loss. Then I'm getting a tummy tuck and DD boobs. I'm currently a DD but starting to sag.

That's great! If you still have issues with your iron, there's this liquid iron you can take called SS tonic. It works wonders but not so good tasting lol. I started as a saggy C, I have no clue what I am now. I'm too chicken to take my cg off cause idk if I'll be able to put it back on. I haven't seen Dr. Vela's work yet lol. But today will have to be the day because I NEED to shower 1. Because I'm pretty sure I smell and 2. I'm going back to work tomorrow. Lol

Getting close!!!

Today I had my pre-op, took my before photos with the photographer, met with the nurse to go over the procedure, talked about upping the size of my implants from 350 to 400. I also made my final payment... shewww, there goes my savings. I was up all night wondering if I would back out and just keep the money , but in all honesty, this is something that I wanted to do for YEARS.. I worked hard to lose this weight, albeit I gained some back. I'm excited, nervous... so many emotions. I also know that afterwards I need to give my body enough to heal... well guys, it's real, this is happening, no turning back!! June 28th can't get here fast enough!

Don't worry about the money! I'm scraping my nickels together to come up w 6k for Obera. Of course I could pay more bills or give my kids even more stuff they don't need!
