Hello:
I had my liposuction consultation with Dr. Basner last month. He is an excellent and well-qualified plastic surgeon in the Baltimore, MD area.
He groups his patients into three (3) categories.
Category 1: Patients who are excellent candidates and will have an excellent result.
Category 2: Patients who will have dramatic improvement in clothing, but may still have loose skin.
Category 3: Patients who have a lot of loose skin and are not great candidates for liposuction.
I am in the second category. He did mention that I would have a better result with a tummy tuck. But, I would rather wait until I have my children. I am recently married and want to get rid of the excess fat, first. He said to expect to lose two to four size difference with liposuction alone. I said "Sign me up!" If it happens, that would put me in the 6-8 category. Honestly, I will be happy with no muffin top!
Currently, I am not sure of my weight. But, I will post my height and weight soon. Last I checked I was 189.0. I am 5'8.
I have looked at so many pictures and reviews on RealSelf.com and think that it is only fair that I pass along my experience. I gleaned so much advice and encouragement from other patients' posts and photos.
