I am very nervous about my upcoming surgery. I have so many questions and doubts. I've been reading this site like a maniac. My insurance (Blue Cross) authorized it with no issue. My Dr and I talked about going to a size C. But since I'm 5'3 230 lbs I have about 100 lbs to lose, we settled at a D cup hoping that I'll end up a B/C cup. I'm worried about my breast deflating. We can cross that bridge when we get there. I'll keep you all posted throughout the process.

Hi, I just had my breast reduction surgery on 7/29. I was also a hh and now proudly I am a D cup. my advice is to go with a D because I also prior to surgery just wanted smaller breast not realizing the impact after visually seeing yourself so small. So, my doctor did know better and told me that a d would be best and that was right. I'm very excited to have the opportunity to wear different style tops, etc but in all honesty I did have to get use to seeing myself so much smaller. Good luck!

Did u have to have any documentation for insurance to approve you. I had my consultation on April 23 and doctor says I'm a good candidate so I should not have and issue getting covered by insurance,I have bcbs as well. But have no documentation besides my primary doctor referral.

I'm extremely nervous and anxious. I keep feeling like "I don't want to die". On the other hand I'm excited about what's to come. I don't know what to feel right now. I filled my Rx and now I'm preparing for bed, if I can sleep. I'll update you guys tomorrow.

Try to calm yourself, logically and statistically you have far more chance of being in a fatal car wreck every time you drive than you do of dying under anaesthetic. This surgery should be a great incentive to lose weight and get fit, i have been doing that since my BR. Try to be positive and calm as it makes a difference to your recovery

Nervous yet excited. Sitting in the hospital waiting area anxiously awaiting to get this over and done. Can't wait to tell you guys later! I weighed in this morning at 224. That has been a stable weight for the last few months. Can't wait to see the changes that happen.
