I didn't think that I would be posting on here but I see that it helps a lot of people to document about the progress of their surgery. I will be having mine on July 9, two days from now. I'm very nervous and excited. I am second guessing the size I chose. I want it to look natural and I hope in not going to big for my size. I am a small 34A right now and debating on going down to 325cc or 300cc instead of 350cc. My doctor said that with my measurements, 350cc would be a perfect size for me but I still have doubts. If anyone has any advice for me it would be greatly appreciated.

good luck in 2 days! as for your sizing question, I would go for 350cc because I think your surgeon knows best and that 25cc does not differ much. Too small and you'd get boob greed and perhaps weird gap on your chest. I'm not an expert and not trying to push you to do something, but I guess it is a good size for you.

Thank you for the advice! I did notice the 325cc really wasn't any different which is why I chose 350cc. I'm just going to stay with it and if the doctor thinks it's too big when he puts it in then I'm gonna have to go lower if needed. it will be out of my control at that moment since I'll be unconscious hah but I know I'm in good hands with my doctor.

I am a little over 3 weeks post-op from my BA with Dr. Cohen and LOVE them. I have Sientra smooth, round, 330cc HPs. I let him choose in the OR what looked best and fit me best :) I just showed him a wish picture of another woman's breasts that he had done and said I preferred no less than 300cc (just from my research I knew that was the minimum I wanted). Best of luck to you, you're seriously in great hands! :)

Thank you for the response! I am very nervous for tomorrow, it is suddenly begging to get real in my mind that it is actually happening in a matter of hours!

You'll do fine! :) the anesthesia effects were probably the worst part for me, I was very dizzy post-op and that's what made me nauseous. The "pain" is most definitely tolerable and not what I anticipated by any means! :)
Be sure to take your Ativan tonight! Lol

I second guessed my size also I thought I should have went bigger but I tried on a different size and I could tell it didn't look natural

So today was my surgery! Everything with the doctor and the anesthesiologist was great. My one complaint was the nurses had a lot of trouble putting in my IV. Everytime they tried it hurt so bad. It felt like they were scrapping it on my bone. After 3 tries in three different spots on my hand they gave up and had the anesthesiologist do it. He did it fast and painless like every other time I've needed an IV. The doctor ended up going from 350cc to 250cc. He said with my small frame 350 is too big and won't fit or look natural. I'm not dissapointed. I'd rather go smaller then look huge and unnatural for my body. I just can't way to see what they will look like all healed a few month from now! So far not in too much pain. Just trying to avoid moving too much because I don't know which movements hurt and which ones don't. It will take a little bit for me to get used to it. I'm just feeling a lot of pressure on my chest. Lots of cold ice. 20 on 20 off. I'll post some pictures when I get the courage to take of my beatutiful surgical bra haha

Glad everything went well! :)
I think I waited a good day or two before I unhooked the front of my surgical bra and had my mom snap a quick picture for me because I was afraid to leave it unhooked too long lol!
Can't wait to see your next update!

Thanks. Do you remember how much sleep you got over the first couple days? Last night was pretty rough. I didend up falling asleep eventually. I got almost 5 hours, but it was so hard to get into a spot I was comfortable in. I'm a strict side sleeper too so that doesn't help
July 10, 2015
I slept without any issues, sleep normally comes pretty easily for me lol. But getting comfortable was another story entirely. My back was killing me the first week from sleeping propped up and just on my back. I'm an "only" side sleeper too! So it was an adjustment. The nurse told me at my first post-op (I think?) that I could sleep how I wanted but she recommended not on my tummy. I waited until two weeks post-op though to roll to my side at all and it's still a bit uncomfortable and weird feeling.
Definitely get a pillow for under your knees while you're sleeping propped up though! It made it a bit more comfortable and I stopped sliding down as much in bed then lol.

Congrats! Can't wait for an update, but hope you are well! Which profile did you end up having? And have a breezy recovery! :)

Medium profile. yea I'm gonna try to take some pictures today. I can't really tell how big they will be when they drop and fluff. They are so much tighter today

I finally took some pictures!! So far the pain has not been too bad. I stopped taking the pain meds yesterday and am just taking Tylenol instead. It's mostly just soreness and a lot of discomfort from my muscles being so stiff. I have definitely never been this bloated before in my life! It looks like Im pregnant! Also, does anyone know where I can get a more comfortable surgical bra? This one is tight and rides up on my incisions, which are starting to itch. I assume itching is a good thing because that means they are healing. But I don't know how much longer I can bare this surgical bra, PLEASE HELP!

I haven't had my surgery yet so I can't help with suggestions on surgical bras. Just wanted to say that your results look great so far!

My surgical bra started driving me nuts at 2 days post, too! My mom went out and got me a soft cotton front hooking bra from K-Mart in black. It was WONDERFUL comparatively lol. And still snug enough. I think swelling peaks at 48-72hrs, I'm normally a 32 band, the surgical bra from Dr. Cohen's office was a 34, and the cotton sports bra type thing she got me was a 38 band and it was even still tight for a few days till the swelling subsided some, then it was too loose so I switched back to my surgical bra then. Hope this helps!

Following! I am interested to see how your 250s turn out, I'm scheduled for BA on 7/22, leaning towards 250-275 myself!

Going into my surgery I had decided on 350ccs. When I met with the doctor minutes before my surgery he told me that my frame was probably going to be too narrow. He didn't say how much lower he would go. I told I him want a natural look, going for a full B or small C. I was surprised when I woke up to see that he had gone 100ccs lower. Not going to lie I've had moments the past few days of disappointment thinking I'm not going to look the way I've imagined and hoped for. I'm just going to have to wait see. So far I can tell that they will look pretty natural once they drop and fluff. I'd make sure that you really communicate what you're expecting with you're doctor before going in for surgery. I wouldn't say I'm completely unhappy, just unsure that I have gotten exactly what I had asked for.

You look great for being so early post op! Congratulations! Yes, the bloating is very common but be sure to take something to counteract the constipating side effects of the pain medication!
