How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I want to start by saying that I did this...
I want to start by saying that I did this procedure because I wanted to and I did a lot of research before going into it. Shop around for the best surgeon and don't be afraid to ask A LOT of questions. Don't be cheap...this is your body and your life that you are putting at risk. Everyone will have different experiences with their surgery and it is best that you consult with your primary care physician to make sure that your body is capable of handling the stress it will endure.
With that said.....I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Michael Salzhauer and his amazing team. They were so kind throughout the entire procedure. I must have asked them 100 questions and they answered every single one with patience. Most of the girls in Dr. Salzhauer's office have undergone some sort of procedure, therefore it was very easy to relate to all of them.Let's face it, it's easier to ask a woman some of the more personal questions and they were willing to share their experiences with me.
The recovery week was not easy for me. The antibiotics were very strong and for about 4 days I was not myself. I was very weak, pale, and nauseous all day!! I consulted with the doctor and he said it was okay to cut back on two antibiotics that were causing an allergic reaction. After that, the recovery was a breeze. Throughout the first week, the doctor sent me videos stating what I should be feeling and he was right every time. It was a very nice touch during a difficult time.
I began to work one week after surgery. I used my boppy pillow for 6 weeks as directed. I also started lymphatic massages a week after surgery. I suggest you start the massages like 3 days after surgery so that those liquids don't get hard in the areas that the liposuction procedure was performed. Discuss this with your surgeon before getting these massages. They have been working for me during the recovery period. I also am still wearing my girtle. I bought myself a tighter girtle and I have it tightened about every 2 weeks. It just depends on how I feel.
Just so that everyone is aware...you will be anemic after surgery because of the amount of blood you will lose and the bruising will hurt a little at first. Please make sure that you are cleared for surgery before going for the procedure.
This was my experience and I hope this helps someone. Dr. Michael Salzhauer of Bal Harbour Plastic Surgery in Miami was amazing. His team was also very attentive and sweet. I would suggest you do this procedure with him if you are in South Florida. He's great and gave me the body I have always dreamed of!

He is very charismatic and professional. I just love the way that I came out after surgery. I would strongly recommend a consultation with him!!
