I tried stem cell fat injections and transaxanmic acid tablets.. helped a little. This pic shows it at its worst. I was recently told to try lorenol. It’s hard to find and I’m terrified to try it, but will do a test spot. Anyone heard of this??

I'm at my wits end with my "hyper pigmentation." Burn victims looks better than I do, yet no one has offered me a fix. I got some sort of laser 5 years ago and the spots started several months later. Now, my face is inhuman. Only pictures can explain. All The doctors I've seen only make it worse. I've used creams and peels, and had 2 gentle laser treatments which did nothing. Every day is worse no matter how much money I spend on every option I can find

I don't know what peels you have had, but the Obagi Blue Peel is the best for hyperpigmentation. It's a pain to do, because you are literally blue for a few days, but it is effective.

I have the same thing! I have had numerous plastic surgeons tell me they will not touch me with a laser. In the summertime it always gets worse, even when I use the most expensive sunscreens. During the winter months I can get it to fade I use the Vi Peel in Sept or Oct, or whenever you know you will be out of the sun for an extended period of time. I use Neo Strata Plus (15% AHA) face cream that I buy on Amazon. Apply it twice a day, applying over the top of Retin -A and Obagi hydroquinone at night. You will peel for a week after the Vi peel. I have friends who have had great results with the Rodan and Fields products. I know exactly how self conscious it can make you feel. :(

Hydroquinone made mine much worse, I'm wondering about peels. It seems my face gets worse with anything that irritates it. I'm thinking of maybe just going starlight to stem cell concentrated fat injections as my collegen breaks down in getting large depressions in my face.. This is also a response from topicsls

Sorry if his skin is damaged I would not aggravate the scar tissue with Retin-A and AHA acid creams. They will just puff up the scar tissue and make it look worse. You cannot slough off scars. Hydoquinones ruined my face. Please get Azelaic acid cream from doc or Ebay. This will lighten dark spots.

Hi Shilly,
Have you tried 4 percent hydroquinone? Walmart sells some for less than $6 per jar. Apply once or twice per day and spots lighten up in about 2 weeks.
Use sunscreen every day, even when it rains. UVA/UVB, at least 30 spf. I am 55 years old and have no facial brown spots.
IPL is great too.
Good luck !!!

ipl photo facial from my experience is best for dark spots. I have melasma and it worked with just one treatment.

I've been doing microneedling with stem cell growth factor serums for 3 weeks now and I'm seeing amazing improvements.
Now I don't know whether microneedling is the right thing for you - it looks like you might have developed melasma. The pigmentation looks really epidermal to me, whereas mine was gray-ish and seemed more dermal.
The problem with treating epidermal pigmentation with microneedlign and lasers is that it breaks the basement membrane and can cause leakage of pigmentation into the dermis. It's a complex issue.
But either way, I had lost all hope and I found a solution to my problem. But then again, mine wasn't melasma, and I don't know what yours is.
Best of luck. :)
(I did the microneedling at home, I don't trust any dermatologists as they've done nothing but ruin my skin from day one - I've known more than all of the derms I've been to on the topic of hyperpigmentation anyway, so why waste my money?)
