Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty
Not sure how long the surgery lasted, maybe a couple of hours. The procedure was an Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty. Went home 2 days after surgery; 10 days after the surgery, I had stitches removed by local doctor at home. I don't remember any pain from the surgery, maybe some discomfort from the stitches, but once the stitches were out, the discomfort was gone. I can not see any scars and my eyes look so much better than they did. My friends said wow.

This was my second carpal tunnel release and my second cosmetic procedure by BajaMed. While my primary reason for going there was for a carpal tunnel release on my left hand, I was able to get a much needed eyelid lift at the same time.
The cost listed above was $2,700 for the carpal tunnel release and $1,100 for the eyelid lift since I had the operating room, anesthesiologist and doctors already there. These costs are all inclusive meaning I did not get a bill from the medical center where the surgery was performed, one from the anesthesiologist and another from the surgeon like in the USA; when in the USA, you usually only know what the surgeons charges will be, the others are what I like to refer to as hidden charges.
I have been very impressed with the quality of surgery and care by BajaMed; I have never experienced anything that comes close to it in the states. With virtually no advanced notice by me, BajaMed made accommodations for me and did the surgery on Mexico's Independence Day which is celebrated like our 4th of July. With the qualification that my care was always their top priority, BajaMed’s staff has always treated me like a friend rather than just another patient.

Dr. Carmina Cardenas did both the carpal tunnel release and the eyelid lift in one setting. She also did my other cosmetic sugery and my other carpal tunnel release. She does excellent work. At the recovery center after my surgery, I was talking with one of the nurses and while we were talking, she said she has seen cosmetic surgery by all the doctors and said Dr. Cardenas was the best. She didn't have to say anything and it was an unsolicited comment, but I was glad she said it.
