While my main reason for going to BajaMed in Tijuana, Mexico was for back surgery, I had been contemplating getting rid of my turkey neck that comes with age. While recovering from my back surgery, I talked with Dr. Serrano of BajaMed about getting a neck lift with a chin implant while I was still there. He wasn't sure about it until he saw how well I was recovering. After a review by their medical committee, they decided that I was doing well enough for the additional surgery. So a week after my back surgery, I had a neck lift with a chin implant, which ended up being a lower face lift. 3 1/2 hours after the surgery started, I was done and the costs were the same even though more work was performed. The results after allowing time for healing were great and I am happy I had it done.

I have to make a comment about Dr. Serrano. He spent so much time with me; I asked him if I was his only patient. He laughed and said no I wasn’t. It was such a pleasant experience compared to medical care in the USA. Another thing I should mention, language was not a barrier except when I tried to speak Spanish.
