Rhinoplasty is my biggest regret

Posting this because its been almost five years since my nose job and I am still very unhappy with my results. The main thing I wanted was smaller nostrils and a less wide nose. I ended up with a retracted columella, notched nostrils, an upturned nose, and a asymmetrical nose. The space between my nose and lips was also made longer. The doctor had great results for noses that needed humps removed but lacked experience in other types of noses. I was young and rushed in without doing enough research. However after the procedure I was devasted with the results. My doctor tried to tell me I needed a psychiatrist and that I was crazy. When I posted my intial review right after my surgery many commentors also tried to tell me I was crazy and my results were good. Only my mother and two closest friends admitted that the result looked worse than the origional. It was a dark 3 months before the surgeon removed a stitch he put in my nose to make it upturned. It helped slights but I still have a retracted columella. It is forever a different color from the rest of my nose because it was tucked so far up. I am still unhappy with my smile and the distance between my nose and lips. I think people of color need to be even more careful when it comes to nose jobs. Majority of surgeons think we want a certain cookie cutter look. I am still unhappy with my result and hope to afford and fix it some day soon.
