Bad lipo - it's been 4 months and there has been no improvement

Botched Procedure

I decided to seek liposuction and Bodytite surgery after trying to lose weight for over a year. I wasn’t able to lose belly fat with diet and exercise. I went to Dr. Shahin Fazilat at SF Bay Area Plastic Surgery for the procedures. I paid a lot of money for ULTRASOUND LIPOSUCTION (VASER) WITH BODYTITE TO ABDOMEN, LEFT UPPER ARM, UPPER BACK; MORPHEUS 8 AND BODYTITE TO BILATERAL ARMS, LATERAL CHEST, UPPER BACK, ABDOMEN. I ended up with horrible results. It’s been 4-months, and there has been no improvement. My abdomen and left arm are disfigured, I endure nerve pain every day in my arms and hands from the Bodytite procedure done to my arms. My abdomen has irregular contour, hollow indentation on my right side, saggy skin, fat, and lumps on the abdomen area (see pictures). I also experience numbness in my abdomen. My left arm still has fat that was missed during the liposuction. There is a noticeable lump in the pictures.

I‘m unable to wear form-fitting clothes because of the botched abdomen procedure. The skin is so loose on my arms. I’m embarrassed to show my arms. I have to wear long sleeve shirts. Bodytite did not work. After having the procedures, I now suffer from nerve pain, depression, anxiety, chest pain, and skin folds and creases. Dr. Shahin Fazilat claims the surgery was a success and that I need to give my body more time to heal. It’s been 4-months and nothing has changed. I can’t stand the horrible results I see in the mirror. I begin to cry and become depressed.

I’ve had several conversations with Dr. Shahin Fazilat to discuss revision surgery, and I’m told nothing can be done until 6-months to a year. It's been challenging living with the disfigurement. It’s me that is suffering, not him. His behavior regarding my concerns comes across as condescending and unconcerned.

I’m aware it can take up to 3-6 months for swelling to resolve, scars to mature, and final shape and contour will become evident. But these results will not change for the better. I know I will need revision surgery.

I’ve had several appointments and phone calls with Dr. Shahin Fazilat to discuss my concerns. But the appointments and phone calls turn into unpleasant conversations because he argues with me. This causes me depression and feelings of anxiety which I have expressed to him several times. Now I suffer from physical and emotional pain. I can’t believe I paid good money to end up with so many medical problems and a botched procedure.

I regret everything and wish I could go back and select another plastic surgeon instead of Dr. Fazilat. This has also caused a financial burden. I had to spend money on medical bills to see other providers for the problems I’m experiencing due to plastic surgery, medications, and lymphatic massages. This was a complete waste of money and I look and feel worse and more self-conscious. (See before and after pictures). I will post more pictures at the 6-month and 8-month mark.
