Bad Chin Surgery and Brow Lift

4 years ago I had sliding genioplasty with Dr. Nogueira. Before the surgery I said I wanted a subtle change, with 5-6mm advancement, because I was afraid of looking too different. When I woke up from surgery I was in extreme pain even though I was told I would only be in minimal discomfort. I still have pain to the day actually.

When I had my xray taken and consults with 3 other surgeons, they all said it looked 12-15mm of advancement! Why would he move my chin so far forward, especially on such a small face?!

And because of this extreme movement, the soft tissue can not accommodate the stretch. I believe he pulled my chin so far forward that he snap my mental nerves, causing complete numbness in my bottom lip and chin. Not to mention speech problems because my lip can not move properly.

Also, I look unglier and older. He preformed a complete brow lift on me as well, when I only wanted a little pull up on the sides of my face like a mid-face lift. Here he was aggressive again and performed a surgery I didn't need. He pulled my eyebrows up so high and tight I couldn't even close my eyes fully for a 3 weeks....I was 33 years old.

4 years later my right eyebrow is still pulled so tightly, I can not move it. This makes me look older as it gave me a hollow look. The sliding genioplasty also looks horrible because when you move a chin that far forward it looks very unnatural and becomes a shelf.

At 33 y/o and he called me middle age (I hope I don't die at 66) with "severe chin deficiency" and opted to be very very aggressive on my face. you can read it on his website:

I'm sure he is a skilled surgeon but beware, he will go against any wish of wanting a subtle improvement. In short his artist eye for a balanced face is very poor.
