Oh boy..the closer I get to my surgery date I'm getting nervous. I'm not sure why because I had surgeries before but maybe because this one I'm choosing to do. Or maybe I watched too many videos and read to many stories on the recovery process. And im usually good at handling pain but I don't know to what degree of pain this will be for me personally. Anyway my paperwork is done, my pre-op visit is done and my prescriptions are filled. I'm taking Vitamin B and Iron pills every day. I started my Pineapple water a week ago and will continue that throughout the summer pretty much. Also starting tomorrow I'm detoxing by starting a fruit and vegetables diet for the next week up to the day before my surgery. Then ill stick to liquids; pineapple water, protein smoothies, chicken broths, etc. for about 5 days. Then I'll slowly start adding protein back into my diet such as, eggs, chicken, fish. Anyway this is just the process I choose to do to help my body heal. Everyone is different so you have to do what works for you and ive done this process before. At this point I'm nervous and anxious and ready to go.

Yes!! Its finally done!! Last night I couldn't sleep..cleaning, cooking for the family, and getting things together kept me busy but my mind was busy as well. I was so tired and still couldn't sleep. Anyway I slept about 3 hours my report time was 7am so me and my husband were up by 6am! Anyway I got marked up, spoke to my doc (who I love by the way) I was super nervous until he walked in. So after that the nurse took me in the operating room and washed my whole body which I found to be fabulous. Then I got on the operating table, got hooked up to everything and the next thing I knew they were waking me up in recovery. The nurses got me dressed and wheeled me out to my husband's car and now I'm home. When I first got home I was more groggy and weak than in pain. I went took my meds, drank some water and went to sleep for about 2 hours. I felt good enough to walk to the bathroom once I woke up and that wore me out a little bit by the time I walked back to my chair, recliner by the way and please get a chair if you can. I rented mine from rent-a-center and its great! Even the lady at the store said that when she had her surgery she wish she thought of the recliner because it was so miserable to have to get in and out of the bed. So anyway I been walking every 1-2 hours depending on how tired I am. The fluid fills up the drains more when you walk and my doctor said that's a good thing. Stay on top of your meds and drink plenty of water...Happy Healing ladies
