Belotero for Upper Lip Wrinkles
ORIGINAL POST
I did Belotero for upper lip wrinkles today and it...
WORTH IT$400
I did Belotero for upper lip wrinkles today and it is amazing. I am 51 and those lines on upper lip started bothering me. They are called "smoker lines" and although I never smoke, it is just the part of aging process for me. In a med spa where I get Botox nurse suggested Belotero or Restyline silk. She said that she really thinks I will like Belotero. I was a bit afraid to try because I have never done fillers before. I was following her advise to not take any blood thinners , fish oil or red wine for one week. She numbed my upper lip. Injected Belotero into wrinkles with very fine needle. It was a little uncomfortable but no pain. I kept ice on upper lip for 15 min after the procedure. The gratification is instant. Wrinkles are smoothed out/gone , but my lip itself does not look puffy. Very happy

Did she say how long it lasts?

She said 8 month. I want to do 1 more syringe in a couple of weeks. I had slight swelling for the first week (only noticeable to me). When swelling went away I see that it will not hurt to put one more syringe of Belotero.

I talked to my PS two weeks after my procedures. Since I don't see much improvement in my "smokers" lines after he did fat transfer, he said Volbella might be a good choice. It lasts up to a year. I have a friend that got it about 10 days ago and loves it and the fact it will last longer than other fillers. I'll most likely try it after my 3 month check up. Ask your nurse what she thinks about it next time. I'd be interested to get another opinion. :-

Micki I will ask her about Volbella next time. But I remember she told me that she loves Belotero over other hyaluronic acid fillers because is has thinner consistency. But my "smoker lines" are very tiny.... I did one more syringe 3 weeks ago and it looks very nice.

Looking forward to getting rid of my lines...they're pretty deep. Still waiting to see if the fat transfer develops between now and three months post op.
Pics please - love to see your results!
