Treatment for My Son's Severe Acne

My son has suffered from severe acne for quite some time.

We tried Proactive, Differin and some other over the counter cleansing regimens but nothing was helping. I considered Accutane but was worried about the side effects as I have heard there are many. When I heard about AviClear I spoke with my son and he said he wanted to give it a try.

He struggled through the treatments. It was very painful for him - possibly more so because his skin was so bad and sensitive to begin with. He was one of the few who purged after the treatments pretty bad but you could see his skin slowly clearing up between each round.

He completed his 3rd round two weeks ago and while he has some scarring, his skin has improved dramatically since the first treatment. I definitely think the procedure was worth it but for someone with severe acne it is definitely a process and not pleasant. I look forward to seeing his skin continue to improve.
