Pain Was Tolerable; Treatment Was Long
I have suffered from acne on my cheeks and chin area since 2019, and I finally found a skincare provider, Searcy Kelly, to go to for help in 2023. I was really excited to try the Aviclear treatment she recommended. I was a bit skeptical about the procedure at first, but after talking with her and reading all I could about it, I decided it was worth it to try. I had my first treatment on July 21. Overall, the treatment was tolerable. It felt like a little needle poking into my skin. I barely felt it when Searcy was going over my cheeks, except on the area close to my eyes and nose, which stung a bit and made the muscles in my face twitch. I was expecting the nose to be one of the most painful areas to go over, but it was the least painful. The most painful was the upper lip. Thankfully, she only had to do about four “zaps” there. The chin area hurt but was tolerable. I’d rate the pain level about 4 or 5 out of 10. The forehead seemed to be a very sensitive area and was a little more painful than the chin area. It also might have been because this was the last area of the face to be treated and my stamina was running low. If the treatment was any longer, I would have needed a little break. I think it lasted about an hour. It’s only been four days since my first round of treatment, so it’s too early to say if it was worth it just yet. After the treatment, my skin has been a bit dry and a little itchy, but not too bad. Moisturizer soothes it. I’m looking forward to finishing the last two treatments and hopefully clearing up my acne. Any improvement at this point would be a miracle for me.I received compensation from Cutera in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
