After spending tons of money in expensive and useless products and trying many natural treatments. Finally I found this doctor who prescribed me HQRA + 7% and heliocare pills and after less than a month my skin looks amazing. I want to share with all this woman suffering this horrible skin problem.

Thank you for the information. Can you tell me what is in the product HQRA? So glad you find something that is helping this dreaded condition!! How long have you had melasma?

Hi I'm trying to post a comment but It said its error. Develop melasma 4 years ago in summer was very noticeable and winter disappeared but the last 18 month it was very aggressive and nothing worked. This cream is a combination of hydroquinone 7% tretoin and hydrocortisone. I can send a picture of the cream and pills. Doctor said I should have Laser treatment with this cream call Ruby it's $800 each session. I can't afford it. I hope It help you. I understand how do you feel. I was embarrassed to go out.

I just bought Heliocare pills on Amazon for an upcoming vacation, as well as La Roche Posey Sunblock. All these products better amount to something! But the more I read the less I am willing to put my faith and money into pricy peels and procedures although I did have success with the Vi Peel removing superficial brown spots but no success with the deeper melasma on upper lip.

Have you ever used hydroquinone in the past? I have read that melasma often comes back worse.

I've been reading that as well. Also I heard that HQ is not recommended for those with skin tones that aren't very fair to begin with as you risk discoloration of surrounding skin. I've decided to stop using HQ for this reason and treat skin with Vit C, B (niacinide) and retinoic cream as well as take Vit C, Niacin, B12 and B6 and milk thistle and Caprylic acid, and colostrum orally to address possible internal causes. I got this idea from two others on this site. Fingers crossed:)

Thanks for your info. However, i heard from some dermatologists that hydroquinone can cause cancer if it is used for a long time.

Thank you. Heard that but I have no choice. It's very hard to live with this horribles dark spots.
