Waste of Money
I had to give a star in order to post this review. I never post anything on Real Self until now. This review is not intended as retaliation but rather, "A WARNING." We work hard for our monies and therefore, when we opt to undergo any plastic surgery endeavor, we want the results of our hard earned money. I am a seasoned veteran of plastic surgery procedures so I know what to expect with procedure outcomes and healing. I sought out the services of a doctor named Barry Dibernardo who practices out of NJ Plastic Surgery in Montclair, NJ for Aveli Release in the left buttock. I should have noted the "RED FLAG" when I met a woman in the waiting room during my consultation visit who was so unsatisfied with her surgical results (silicone removal from the buttocks) that she was on the verge of crying. She stated that she is deformed with an ugly scar. Since my procedure was not as invasive as hers, I decided to go thtough with what should have been a simple procedure. After paying thousands of dollars, I was scheduled for the procedure and immediately noted that the dent in the buttocks was still there which I questioned. I was told to wait for the swelling to subside. During the healing process I had to call the office numerous times with complaints of pain where seromas had to be drained. I awaited the final results. After the swelling subsided, I noticed Dibernardo missed the problem area, entirely. Another procedure had to be scheduled. Seromas, again. Office visits, again. Final results left me deformed with a 4 inch bubble hanging from the bottom of my left buttock. I came in for a dent and leave with a protruding pouch of skin. When I spoke with Dibernardo about the newly acquired deformity...he states "I can cut it out but that will be an additional 3500." Are you kidding me? You left me deformed!!
Till date, (months later) the area remains deformed, lumpy, and painful whereas, I have to modify how I sit and how long I sit. I have to constantly cover-up the area with long shirts to hide the obvious deformity. I now have to save up money to have the deformity repaired whereas, Dibernardo could have made good by offering to repair HIS damage.
So...if you are searching for a doctor for your plastic surgery needs pertaining to Aveli of the buttocks...do your research. Some doctors will reel you in with small talk and a genuine concern but afterwards, will downplay your concerns unless of course, you have more money to offer.
