Three months and three weeks post

$7,600
The incisions from the inner stitches healed in about one week.
Everything is quite ok at the moment, I can finally sleep on my stomach and get my well-deserved rest.
Still some scar tissue lumps in both breasts, but the doctor says they will dissolve with massage.
Also, the nipples are not really out yet, it looks like they're taking their time...
I finally started to go to the gym and trying to lose some weight, so if you have any good tips tell me. :-)

Back in black

Went back to the doctor to remove the inner, long-term stitches.
Took about 20-30minutes, with local anesthetic for both breasts.
Now I have dressings on for another week in order for the new incissions to heal. The good news is they don't hurt too much, the pain is totally manageable without pain killers.

Hey brave woman, hang in there! Thanks for your updates, they really help! My J scar is still healing, I think they only used dissolvable stitches on me. I can imagine it's a bummer to be in bandages three months po?
Heey! Thanks a lot! :D I am very happy for you, keep doing what you're doing!
Actually, I feel somewhat relieved, because I could see 2 more spots on each breast with 'potential' to open up later and after this procedure they will most likely not.
I expect that in another month or so I should be able to strain myself quite a bit in order to exercise properly...
Looking so good! Keep us posted. :D

9 weeks in, my worst nightmare: open spot

I think the skin split open because of the massage. The nurse showed me how to do it: place finger on scar and then circular movement pressing down, which in hindsight looks like the perfect way to help the scar split, fml.
I didn't think for myself at all, I just listened to her. Actually, now that my wheels are spinning, I guess massage this early after surgery should be very light and along the scar rather than pressing on it in circles...
Anyway, coming back to the problem: I have an open spot and two others that might split soon, this makes me super nervous and panicky. I am treating it with antibiotic cream and just bought some non-sticky gauze to put on top.
I hope it will clise soon, but the dictor says he might have to remive the under-stitch. It seems it was too close to the skin and the scar opened right on top of it, it's actually visible inside the wound.
How long dies recovery of these spots take, anyone had this problem?

Man, I typed very fast and tapped i instead of o a lot, sorry :(
I had similar and It did not close until I managed to finally fish some spitting stich out of it then it closed straight away
Don't panic! Looks like that stitch is trying to work its way out. Which is actually a good sign kind of, your body is rejecting the foreign material. Seems like you are healing really well overall!
Yes, exactly. It was because of the stitches. Yesterday I had them removed. The doctor said that now the areola might becone a bit larger, because the stitches were keepung it small and cute, but it's a risk I'm completely willing to take.
Interesting. Hopefully it will all heal up OK :)
Thank you! I hope so also...
