So for most of my vain life I have constantly sought out improvement on my looks, however age had precluded me from ever acting on these tendencies by way of actual plastic surgery. I had researched for quite some time and decided to get my lips done. My lips were not thin, yet not overwhelmingly pouty, and I found in the wind they were subject to severe chapping. I presumed their small size encouraged this chapping as they seemed to receede into my mouth? I booked the consultation appointment and was happy so went ahead to book for the actual procedure. everyone was amazing at oz skin clinics - Chloe answered all of my questions and told me to call if I had any problems the next day. The procedure lasted 20 mins and I felt little to no pain. The next two days were a little confronting. My lips were so big and duck like, and bruised. I hid myself away and cancelled work. I had such high levels of anxiety that everyone would know and think that I had spoilt my face. I got the procedure Friday arvo and I went out with a friend on Monday morning. I regretted it as it still felt too obvious and swollen. I just wanted to hide, not because they looked bad but because when speaking to people I wasn't sure if they were looking at my lips in a good way or a bad way. No one ever mentioned anything, not even my family and closest friends. After two weeks I was in LOVE! They had settled and I found these were the lips my face needed to make everything else "work". I have quite large eyes and a strong nose and always thought I would get a rhinoplasty but bigger lips seem to balance everything.
My problem now is I don't know when to go back. I had the procedure in April. It is now August and while I can still see the results, my lips are almost back to normal *sigh*. I just don't want to risk going back to soon and make it obvious I've had something altered. I like how I looked refreshed but no one could put their finger on what was different about me.
I look at other celebs and what they have done and how they (imo) ruined themselves by maybe being too keen to get topped up - eg Megan Fox, Kylie Jenner. It's all about timing with fillers. I'm very happy though and have booked again for this Thursday. I'll post pics when I go in :) x

Are your lips less dry and cracked since the procedure?

definitely less dry - it's like they are never ever need ointment. I stopped biting my nails also as a result of the new lips - it was an amazing bonus!!
