I'm a 48 year old female who was noticing jowls and lax skin around the bottom half of my face.
My dermatologist was promoting Ultraformer "a non-invasive ultrasound waves based contouring and lifting treatment that concentrates on your soft tissues to stimulate tightening and strengthening for a more youthful appearance."
The nurse who treated me had completed training in the US and has had experience with Ultherapy, a similar "non-invasive procedure that lifts and tightens the neck, chin and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the chest." using ultrasound technology.
I was informed that there would be minimal results for at least 3 months and the full results would not be seen for six months.
I had photos taken at 3months and 6months but could see no improvement. In fact, my dermatologist said that there was "considerable weight loss in my face".
As I had not lost weight in the six months since my treatment, I decided to do more research. I found some positive reviews for Ultherapy in the US but also plenty of negative reviews claiming that Ultherapy had ruined their skin and other stories of fat loss in the face.
There is even a class action lawsuit against the manufacturers of Ultherapy by Harman Law firm.
This lawsuit claims that Ultherapy has "been found to cause fat atrophy, resulting in a sagging, sunken, “skeletal” appearance" among other things.
Please think twice before agreeing to the treatment.

Ultherapy has a 65% positive rating but that means that 35% are negative.
